I need someone to help build my AI fitness and hockey training app capable of on the fly adaptation and memory. The app should be able to learn and adjust training plans based on user performance and feedback. Experience with AI and app development is essential. What you'll build — scope of work 1. Adaptive Training Engine Design and implement an AI engine that generates personalized hockey and fitness training plans (on-ice, off-ice, strength, conditioning, recovery) and dynamically adjusts them based on real-time user performance data, session ratings, perceived exertion, and biometric inputs. Plans must auto-scale intensity, volume, and rest based on user readiness signals. 2. Long-term Memory & User Profiling Build a persistent memory layer that stores and retrieves each athlete's history: past workouts, progression trends, injury notes, positional demands (forward/defense/goalie), skating assessment scores, and self-reported feedback. The AI must reference this memory to avoid repeating mistakes, build on strengths, and flag anomalies. 3. Conversational AI Coaching Interface Integrate a natural language interface so users can ask the app questions ("Should I skate hard today?", "I tweaked my groin — what can I do instead?"), receive contextual answers grounded in their profile, and have the AI modify their plan mid-session in response. The AI should behave like a knowledgeable personal trainer who remembers everything. 4. Performance Tracking & Analytics Dashboard Build dashboards showing load trends, fitness testing results (e.g., VO₂ proxy tests, sprint times, edge work scores), weekly volume, and recovery status. Include progress-toward-goal tracking and AI-generated weekly summaries highlighting improvements and recommended adjustments. 5. Mobile & Cross-Platform App Develop the primary user-facing application for iOS and Android (React Native, Flutter, or equivalent). Offline-capable workout execution is required — athletes may train in arenas with poor connectivity. Sync state cleanly when back online. 6. Backend, API & Data Infrastructure Build a scalable backend to manage user data, training plan generation, AI model calls, and memory retrieval. Design for multi-user growth from day one. Secure handling of health and biometric data is non-negotiable. Nice-to-have qualifications 1. Background in sports science, strength & conditioning, or athletic performance — understanding training periodization, RPE, load management, and recovery protocols is a major advantage. 2. Hockey knowledge — familiarity with positional demands, skating mechanics, on-ice drills, or sport-specific conditioning is genuinely useful for building a credible product. 3. Experience with wearable integrations — Apple Health, Google Fit, Garmin, Whoop, or Polar APIs. 4. UI/UX sensibility — the coaching interface needs to feel premium and intuitive for athletes who are not necessarily tech-savvy.
