Fix 3D Fold Reconstruction from 2D DXF Files — Python Computational Geometry Expert Needed

I need an experienced Python developer to fix the 3D geometry stage of an existing CAD processing system. What the system does: It reads 2D DXF/DWG drawings of sheet-metal-style panels (outer contour, holes, bend lines), calculates flat patterns, and generates a folded 3D mesh (vertices/faces JSON) for a Three.js web viewer. The 2D part works perfectly. The 3D folding stage produces distorted geometry — this is what you will fix. The work: Resolve bend lines drawn as paired parallel lines into single fold axes Split the flat polygon into regions and build a proper fold hierarchy (body → walls → tabs, including second-level folds) Apply correct 3D rotations so the folded panel matches real fabrication geometry Output clean mesh data (correct faces, normals, winding) for Three.js Add numeric validation checks + test cases Tech: Python, numpy, Shapely, ezdxf. Three.js knowledge for verifying output. You must have: Real experience converting 2D CAD drawings into accurate 3D geometry (fold/unfold, sheet metal, CAD/CAM, or similar).
