Flutter Developer Needed – Push Notifications - Google Sign-In Fix - Improve login screen UX

Description: We’re looking for an experienced Flutter developer to work on our social networking app for backpackers, currently live on the App Store and Google Play. Tech stack: Flutter, Riverpod, Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Data Connect, Storage, Cloud Functions). Scope of work: 1. Implement push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging (firebase_messaging), for two triggers: • New message received (private chat and event chat) • New event created within a 50 km radius of the user Should work on both iOS and Android (native system push notifications for both triggers). Additionally, include an in-app unread badge (small red dot/counter) on the messaging icon only, reflecting unread messages in real time. 2. Fix a Google Sign-In authentication bug — users currently get an error message when trying to sign in with Google. Investigation and fix required. 3. Improve the login screen UX by making the account creation link more visible. Replace the current “Click here” text with “Sign up”, and style it as a clear call-to-action (colored, bold, and underlined) while keeping the overall UI clean and consistent with the app’s design. Requirements: • Proven experience with Flutter, Riverpod, and Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Data Connect, FCM) • Please share relevant past projects involving Flutter push notifications and/or Firebase Auth Deployment: We’d like the developer to handle the full process — from implementation to submitting the updated app to the App Store and Google Play — so that we simply see the update live once approved. Before final submission, please provide a test build (TestFlight for iOS, Internal Testing track for Android) so we can verify everything works as expected. Once approved on our end, you’ll proceed with the final submission to both stores. Minimal involvement required on our side beyond this final review.
