Summary

We're looking for a senior mobile developer to finalize a near-complete multiplayer mobile game and publish it to the App Store and Google Play by the end of August. This is NOT a from-scratch build. The product is feature-complete and deployed — we need someone to handle the remaining production wiring. performance polish, store submission, and post-launch hotfix readiness. ═══ THE PRODUCT ═══ Quiz Clash is a real-time multiplayer football trivia game where up to 8 players compete on the same questions with a difficulty-bet mechanic. Features include solo + multiplayer modes, tournaments with credit prize pools, a 50-level progression system, daily rewards, achievements in-app purchases, rewarded video ads, and a built-in admin backoffice. Platforms: iOS (Capacitor), Android (Capacitor), Web (Firebase Hosting). Backend: 30+ Firebase Cloud Functions in europe-west3. ═══ TECH STACK ═══ • Frontend: React 19, TypeScript, Vite, Capacitor 8, Zustand, Framer Motion • Backend: Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions Node 20) • IAP: RevenueCat (iOS wired, Android pending) • Ads: AdMob (iOS wired, Android pending) • Build/Sign: Gradle 8.7 (Android), Xcode 15+ (iOS) • Source control: GitHub private repo (read access on request) ═══ SCOPE OF WORK ═══ REQUIRED FOR LAUNCH: 1. AdMob Android: create the Android app in AdMob console, replace test IDs in code, verify rewarded video flow on a real device. 2. RevenueCat Android: create the Android app, configure Google Play service account, paste API key, test IAP end-to-end. 3. Firebase App Check: enable and configure providers (App Attest for iOS, Play Integrity for Android, reCAPTCHA Enterprise for web) to block scripted abuse of our API. 4. Google Play Console submission: developer account, app listing (description, screenshots, feature graphic), privacy policy, data safety form, content rating, AAB upload, closed/internal testing round, then production rollout. 5. App Store Connect submission: app listing, screenshots, review notes, TestFlight pass, App Review submission. 6. iOS GoogleService-Info.plist is missing from the iOS project — investigate and fix Firebase wiring on iOS if needed. 7. iOS touch bug (flagged in our session notes): answer buttons not tappable on iPhone WKWebView in some scenarios. Reproduce on real device and fix. POLISH & PERFORMANCE: 8. Bundle size analysis (current main chunk is ~700 KB minified, our Vite build flags it). Code-split, reduce time-to-interactive. 9. Cross-device QA on at least 3 Android devices (one old: e.g. Samsung S9) and 2 iPhones (one older: iPhone 8 or SE). 10. Avatar shop UI (backend already in place needs the screen). 11. Per-user game history UI (backend write needs adding + a UI list). 12. Optional: localization scaffolding (currently English only; Portuguese / Brazilian Portuguese as first additions). ═══ WHAT'S ALREADY DONE (so you can scope correctly) ═══ • Full client + backend implementation (~30 Cloud Functions) • Authentication, Firestore data model, security rules (recently audited) • Real-time multiplayer matchmaking + game engine • Tournament system (autonomous, with refunds) • Server-authoritative wallet, daily rewards, achievements, jokers • Web admin backoffice for questions / tournaments / rooms • Signed Android release build pipeline (keystore generated, gradle signing configured) • Firebase Hosting deployed • A 600-line architecture / gameplay doc (shared on contract sign) ═══ DELIVERABLES & MILESTONES ═══ Proposed milestones (open to your suggestions in the proposal): M1 (weeks 1-2) — Android production wiring complete (AdMob + RevenueCat + App Check). Real-device test pass. Updated signed AAB. M2 (weeks 3-5) — iOS production wiring + iOS touch bug fix. TestFlight build live. Cross-device QA pass. M3 (weeks 6-8) — Play Store submission, closed testing, production release. App Store submission, App Review pass. M4 (weeks 9-10) — Polish (bundle size, avatar shop UI, game history). Post-launch hotfix availability. Hard deadline: production release on BOTH stores by 2026-08-31. ═══ REQUIRED EXPERIENCE ═══ Please don't apply unless you have: • Shipped at least one production app to BOTH the App Store and Google Play (with links in your proposal). • Hands-on experience with Capacitor (NOT just React Native — these are different frameworks). • Hands-on Firebase: Firestore security rules, Cloud Functions in TypeScript, Firebase Auth. • Hands-on IAP integration: RevenueCat OR direct StoreKit / Play Billing. • Comfortable with Xcode signing, Gradle signing, and store submission paperwork. Bonus: • Real-time multiplayer / game backend experience. • Firebase App Check setup experience. • Mobile performance profiling (Chrome DevTools remote debugging, Instruments). ═══ WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL ═══ 1. Links to 2-3 apps you've shipped (App Store + Play Store URLs). 2. Confirmation that you've worked with Capacitor specifically (not React Native). 3. Your proposed milestone breakdown + price per milestone. 4. Estimated weekly hours and any blockers to the August 31 deadline. 5. Two-sentence answer to: "What's the difference between Firestore security rules and Cloud Function auth checks, and when do you use which?" (this filters out applicants who don't know our stack). 6. Your timezone and overlap window with Europe/Lisbon (UTC+0/+1). ═══ ABOUT US ═══ We're a small team based in Porto, Portugal. Quiz Clash is part of a broader portfolio of products under our umbrella. Long-term collaboration possible if this engagement goes well.
