Forensic Engineering Report Writer

Forensic Engineering Report Writer (Remote | Per Report) Engineering Inspection Services (EIS) is seeking a detail-oriented writer to prepare preliminary forensic engineering reports for residential and commercial property insurance claims. This is a remote, independent contractor position paid on a per-report basis. What You'll Do You'll receive: Engineer field notes Site photographs Voice dictation (when applicable) Supporting documents Using that information, you'll prepare a professional draft report that includes: Inspection observations Property descriptions Damage documentation Building component descriptions Applicable building code references (when appropriate) Organized photographs with captions Our licensed engineers will review, edit, and finalize all engineering opinions and conclusions before the report is issued. Qualifications We're looking for someone with excellent writing skills and experience in one or more of the following: Engineering Construction Architecture Insurance claims Building inspections Technical writing Construction estimating You do not need to be a licensed engineer. Ideal Candidate Exceptional written English Strong attention to detail Ability to write objectively and professionally Comfortable learning construction terminology Able to organize large amounts of information into a clear report Able to meet deadlines consistently Experience reading building plans, construction documents, engineering reports, or insurance documentation is a significant plus.
