Chief Executive Officer / Co-Founder (EQUITY ONLY) Location: Must be U.S.-Based (Remote / Hybrid) Compensation: Founder-Level Equity (Transitioning to salary post-funding) The Opportunity This is a high-stakes, pre-revenue startup position for a true builder. We are moving from a proven technical concept to a full-scale market launch with our patented wildfire protection system. Let's be completely upfront: this is a part-time role requiring roughly 2 to 3 hours a day focused entirely on writing grants, doing research, sending emails, and pitching decks. We are looking for a partner, not a passenger. We've seen too many people bail before the heavy lifting is done, or walk away because they are afraid to put in the time and effort required to build something from scratch. Think of it like this: when Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook from his Harvard dorm room, he started with a small circle of five guys willing to put in the early, unpaid hours. Today, three of them are billionaires. They achieved that because they didn't look for an easy ride—they committed to the effort when it was just an unproven idea. If you are looking for an immediate salary or a shortcut, this isn't it. If you have the grit to show up and earn your stake, your compensation will scale directly with our corporate success. Core Responsibilities Capital Acquisition: Lead the charge in securing venture capital (Seed/Series A) and aggressively pursue non-dilutive funding through federal, state, and private grant programs (such as SBIR/STTR). Business Strategy: Execute a go-to-market plan focused on active defense infrastructure. Operations Management: Handle the day-to-day business engine, corporate foundation, and executive leadership while the founders focus on field operations and production. Strategic Partnerships: Initiate and secure key corporate relationships, including contracts with major insurance providers and enterprise clients. Compensation & Equity Structure This role is built for long-term alignment, structured specifically to protect the venture from short-term commitments. Equity Stake: Generous, founder-level equity package. The 1-Year Cliff: Equity begins vesting over a 4-year period with a strict 12-month cliff. No equity is earned until the first anniversary of your start date, ensuring you are committed to seeing the job through. Performance Triggers: "Accelerated Vesting" or "Bonus Equity" milestones are tied directly to: Funding & Grants: Successfully closing the initial target investment round or securing a major foundational grant. Pilot Success: Successfully completing the first multi-structure regional pilot program. The Ideal Candidate Grit & Accountability: You finish what you start. You aren't intimidated by sweat equity or the early-stage hustle. Grant & Fundraising Expertise: Deep connections with venture capital networks and a proven track record of successfully identifying, writing, and winning technical or commercialization grants. Proven Track Record: Experience scaling hardware, climate-tech, or deep-tech startups.
