Summary

Help Build a Global Founder Ecosystem Malaika is building a world-class ecosystem for ambitious founders. We bring together founders, investors, operators, universities, governments, accelerators, and corporate innovators through community, education, venture support, founder housing, and unforgettable experiences. Today we're building in San Francisco. Our vision is global. We're looking for a Founding Community & Venture Lead who will help shape the future of our founder community and create meaningful connections that help startups grow. Your Mission Build and scale a founder community that delivers exceptional value to founders, investors, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders. This is not simply a community management role—it's an opportunity to design systems, experiences, and relationships that strengthen a thriving global startup ecosystem. What You'll Do - Lead founder community operations and member engagement. - Support founder success through programs, resources, and relationship building. - Coordinate founder residency experiences and onboarding. - Plan and manage virtual and in-person events. - Build relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, universities, startup organizations, and strategic partners. - Support startup go-to-market (GTM) initiatives through events, partnerships, and ecosystem activation. - Create systems that help founders build relationships, access opportunities, and navigate fundraising. - Develop scalable community processes using AI and automation where appropriate. - Track key community metrics and continuously improve engagement, participation, and member experience. This Role Is Fully Remote You don't need to live in San Francisco to make a meaningful impact. You'll collaborate with founders, investors, and partners across multiple time zones, creating a connected experience for community members around the world through thoughtful communication, excellent execution, and scalable systems. Preferred Experience We're looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following: - Startup ecosystems - Venture capital - Founder communities - Accelerators or incubators - Investor relations - Startup fundraising - Community building or ecosystem development What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: - Takes ownership and executes independently. - Builds systems that scale. - Is highly organized and detail-oriented. - Uses AI tools to improve productivity and workflows. - Enjoys connecting people and building lasting relationships. - Thinks strategically while executing effectively. - Measures success through meaningful outcomes and continuous improvement. What Success Looks Like Success in this role includes: - Growing founder engagement and community participation. - Increasing investor involvement and strategic partnerships. - Expanding valuable founder-to-founder and founder-to-investor introductions. - Delivering high-quality virtual and in-person experiences. - Increasing membership growth and founder program participation. - Building repeatable systems that support long-term community growth. Compensation - Competitive compensation based on experience. - Fully remote. - Long-term opportunity with significant growth potential as the organization expands. How to Apply Please include the following with your proposal: 1. A brief summary of your relevant experience supporting founders, startups, or entrepreneurial communities. 2. A link to your LinkedIn profile or portfolio (if available). 3. A short video (up to 5 minutes) introducing yourself and sharing why you're interested in this role. 4. In 200–300 words, describe your high-level approach to building an engaged global founder community across different regions and time zones. We're interested in your thinking and experience rather than a detailed implementation plan. 5. Share one founder community, accelerator, or startup ecosystem that you admire and explain what you believe makes it successful. If you're excited about building meaningful communities, connecting ambitious founders with valuable opportunities, and helping shape a world-class startup ecosystem, we'd love to hear from you.
