Founding Product & Experience Designer for AI Community Platform

We're building TrueNorth — a contribution and resonance network where people are seen, contribute meaningfully, discover aligned people, and gather. The foundation and dev team are in place; we need a product-minded designer to make the experience beautiful, intuitive, and memorable. Scope (first 60–90 days): • UX audit of the current platform — friction, confusion, and opportunities to simplify • Redesign core surfaces: Home, Profile, Offer Something, Recognition, Daily Signal • Design the AI experience: onboarding, guided reflection, recommendations (as a presence, not a chat box) • Define visual consistency and hold quality as new features ship You will NOT code the platform. You'll define what gets built and how it should feel, and direct our developers. Ideal background: Senior / Founding Product Designer, UX Lead, or AI Product Designer. Experience near Notion, Linear, Arc, Airbnb, Headspace, Calm, Replit, Circle, or AI-native products is especially relevant. Taste and product judgment matter more than credentials. Engagement: 5–15 hrs/week, remote, 60–90 days, with potential for ongoing advisory. Budget: $75–200/hr depending on experience.
