Founding Product Lead with Strong UX/Product Design Skills

WHAT WE’RE BUILDING We are building a multi-platform commerce ecosystem that combines ecommerce, recommerce, marketplace, payments, inventory, and shipping/logistics. The platform will include: Ecommerce: Customers can browse and purchase physical products such as phones, laptops, gadgets, electronics, and other items. Recommerce: Customers can submit single, multiple, bulk, or vehicle items to sell directly to us for cash. Marketplace: Sellers will eventually be able to list products for third-party buyers, with support for Buy Now, offers, negotiations, auctions, seller accounts, buyer accounts, payments, shipping, returns, and disputes. Shipping & Logistics: Customers can manage shipments, generate labels, track packages, handle warehouse receiving, inspections, consolidation, delivery, and related logistics workflows. Admin Platform: Internal teams will manage customers, submissions, products, offers, inventory, payments, shipping, inspections, documents, notifications, and reporting from one backend. We need someone who can help turn these ideas into clear product architecture, user journeys, edge cases, production-ready UX/UI, developer requirements, and scalable workflows. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a senior, hands-on Founding Product Lead who can take founder ideas and turn them into complete, production-ready digital products. You will own the process from product concept → business logic → user journeys → edge cases → UX/UI → requirements → developer handoff → QA and production. This is not a role for someone who only manages tickets or creates attractive screens. You must understand how the entire product works. WHO YOU ARE Someone who: Thinks like a product owner, not just a designer Can turn loosely defined founder ideas into structured products Understands both customer experience and backend/admin workflows Thinks deeply about edge cases and failure scenarios Can challenge assumptions and recommend better solutions Takes ownership from idea through production Is highly organized, detail-oriented and accountable Can work independently with founders and developers WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Strong Product Management and Product Design experience Ability to map complete customer and admin journeys Strong UX/UI design skills Ability to create production-ready Figma designs Strong understanding of transactional platforms Ability to define business rules, workflows and system states Ability to identify edge cases before development begins Ability to write clear PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria Ability to translate product requirements into developer-ready documentation Experience working directly with frontend and backend engineers Ability to review development and identify missing functionality or incorrect implementation REQUIREMENTS 5–8+ years of relevant Product Management, Product Design or Product Lead experience Portfolio showing complex products that reached production Strong Figma portfolio Experience designing both customer-facing and admin/backend products Strong understanding of responsive web and mobile UX Experience defining complex workflows and edge cases Experience with payments, refunds, cancellations and transaction states Strong written product documentation Experience working closely with engineering teams Ability to manage a product from initial concept through launch Excellent attention to detail STRONG ADVANTAGE Experience building products involving: Marketplaces Recommerce / resale platforms Ecommerce Fintech or payment systems Offers and negotiations Auctions or bidding Seller and buyer platforms Shipping and logistics Inventory management Identity verification / KYC Inspections and returns Multi-item or bulk transactions Vehicle marketplaces Complex admin dashboards We are looking for someone who can understand the founder's vision, solve the product problem, design the experience and give engineering exactly what they need to build it.
