Founding/lead engineer for crypto payment app

Summary Dobit is seeking a founding/lead engineer to build a crypto payments app that simplifies spending stablecoins, focusing on architecture, reliability, and product decisions. General Information Dobit aims to create a consumer-friendly crypto payments product that abstracts crypto complexity through integrated solutions for stablecoin payments, wallet infrastructure, fiat/crypto movement, and compliance. The role involves building core backend systems, APIs, and payment infrastructure from scratch, with close collaboration with founders. Tasks and Deliverables - Design and develop Dobit’s technical architecture for a secure, reliable payments app - Ship the initial working version quickly - Build core backend services, APIs, and wallet/payment infrastructure integrations - Implement stablecoin payment flows, transaction tracking, and security measures - Make architecture decisions and set engineering standards for quality and security - Identify technical risks and develop pragmatic solutions - Collaborate with founders on product direction and trade-offs - Define what components should be built internally versus outsourced or integrated Required Experience - Strong experience as a backend or full-stack engineer - Experience building payments, fintech, wallet, or money-movement systems - Ability to design and ship production-grade, reliable systems - Deep understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and data consistency - Strong product judgment - High ownership and ability to operate independently Nice to Have - Experience with crypto payments, stablecoins, wallets, or card issuing - Experience with acquirer/processor integrations, KYC/AML, treasury, or ledger systems - Familiarity with smart contract/on-chain integrations, account abstraction, or wallet UX patterns - Experience with reconciliation, settlement, fraud/risk, or payment operations tooling - Experience working in early-stage startups or zero-to-one product development
