Fractional CEO / Operations Lead
Worldwide
About Us We are a small, fast-moving team running two complementary businesses: Jonroc LLC is an AI agent installation company helping small and mid-size businesses implement AI-powered systems to automate operations, reduce costs, and scale without adding headcount. We are actively building our client base and delivery capability. Get Books Reviewed (getbooksreviewed.com) is a subscription platform that helps authors get honest book reviews through a structured peer exchange community. It is an established platform with an active user base and an ongoing development roadmap. Both companies operate with a lean remote team of contractors and a growing layer of AI agents that handle a significant portion of day-to-day execution. This is not a traditional business environment. AI is not a tool here. It is a core part of how we operate, communicate, and deliver work. The Role We are looking for an experienced operations leader to serve as the human layer between the founder and the execution team. You will work directly alongside AI agents, coordinate remote contractors, maintain quality standards, and help build the operational infrastructure that lets the founder focus on growth and strategy. This is a part-time engagement to start, with potential to expand significantly as the business grows. What You Will Actually Do Team coordination and accountability. You will be the consistent point of contact for a remote team of contractors across development, content, and operations. Your job is to keep projects moving, unblock people, hold them accountable, and ensure the founder is only pulled in for actual decisions. Quality control. Before deliverables go out, they need a second set of experienced eyes. You will review contractor outputs and flag anything that is not ready, inaccurate, or below standard. Junior contractors do what they are told. You are the checkpoint that ensures what they produce is actually right. Operational structure. We are building repeatable processes across both companies. You will identify gaps, document workflows, and create SOPs so that critical knowledge is not stuck in any one person's head. This directly enables delegation and growth. Hiring and onboarding support. As we grow, you will help screen candidates, conduct or assist with interviews, and onboard new team members. Job sourcing support. You will review potential project opportunities on Upwork and Freelancer, assess whether they are a genuine fit for our team's capabilities, and collaborate with our AI systems to write and submit competitive proposals. A single well-placed project can justify the entire engagement. AI Collaboration is Not Optional — It is the Job This role is unlike most operations positions. You will not just use AI as a productivity tool. You will work directly and regularly with AI agents that have defined roles, responsibilities, and communication styles within our business. You will need to: Communicate clearly with AI agents via task management tools and chat Understand what each agent is responsible for and route work accordingly Know when to escalate to the founder vs. when to let an agent handle it Help identify where current AI workflows are breaking down and flag improvements If you are uncomfortable working with AI systems in a hands-on, collaborative way, this is not the right role. If you are excited about it and see it as a competitive advantage, we want to talk to you. What We Are Looking For 10+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or a similar leadership role Demonstrated experience managing remote teams across time zones Strong written English communication skills (this is the primary communication medium) Comfort with modern project management tools (ClickUp or similar) Genuine interest in AI-integrated workflows — prior experience working alongside AI tools is a plus Ability to work independently, flag blockers proactively, and not wait to be told what to do Available for regular overlap with US Eastern business hours (even a few hours daily) Engagement Details Part-time to start: approximately 10 to 20 hours per week Hourly rate: $25/hr Remote, async-first with some real-time availability expected Immediate start
