About Praekta AI Praekta is building an AI-powered accountability platform for nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and crisis behavioral health centers. The core platform is built and a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) partnership is in place to scout pilot and we are raising a seed round to fund pilot deployment, go-to-market, and team growth. The Role Praekta AI is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer to lead fundraising strategy and investor outreach for its seed round. This is a hands-on, execution-focused engagement for someone who can build institutional-grade financial materials, open doors with healthtech and impact investors, and represent the company credibly in diligence conversations without the cost of a full-time CFO hire at this stage. Key Responsibilities • Build and own the seed-round financial model (revenue projections, unit economics, use of funds, runway scenarios) in partnership with the CEO. • Prepare and refine the data room: cap table, financial statements, budget-to-actuals, and diligence-ready documentation. • Develop the fundraising narrative and financial sections of the pitch deck alongside the founding team. • Identify, prioritize, and cultivate a target list of seed-stage healthtech, healthcare AI, and impact-focused VCs, angels, and strategic investors. • Lead or co-lead investor outreach: warm introductions, cold outreach, follow-up cadence, and CRM/pipeline tracking. • Represent the company in early investor calls and support the CEO through term sheet negotiation, valuation discussions, and closing. • Advise on round structure (SAFE vs. priced equity), dilution management, and the dual-class charter considerations tied to existing equity commitments. • Coordinate with outside counsel on equity documentation and closing mechanics. Help recruit and brief a fundraising-focused board of advisors. • Provide light-touch ongoing financial oversight (burn rate, budget tracking) between fundraising milestones. What We're Looking For • Prior experience as a CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance/fundraising lead at a seed- or Series A-stage startup, ideally in healthtech, healthcare services, or regulated industries. • Demonstrated track record of closing institutional seed or Series A rounds can speak to specific raises, investor relationships, and outcomes. • Active network of, or credible access to, healthtech/health-AI VCs, angel groups, and impact investors. • Strong financial modeling skills (SaaS/platform metrics, cap table math, scenario planning) and comfort building diligence-grade materials from scratch. • Working knowledge of Delaware C-Corp equity mechanics, SAFEs, priced rounds, and cap table management tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to represent the company independently in early investor conversations. • Comfortable in an early-stage environment self-directed, resourceful, and able to move quickly with limited internal support. • Familiarity with long-term care, behavioral health, or healthcare compliance/regulatory environments is a strong plus.
