Fractional CTO / Technical Advisor

We are seeking an experienced UK-based Fractional CTO / Technical Advisor to provide strategic guidance and independent technical oversight for an established software product currently being developed by an external team. The successful candidate will work closely with the founder to review the existing platform, advise on architecture, infrastructure, security and scalability, and help ensure the product is commercially and technically positioned for future growth. Key responsibilities will include: • Reviewing the current technical approach and development processes. • Providing independent oversight and challenge to the development team. • Advising on cloud infrastructure, security and best practice. • Supporting product strategy and future development. • Ensuring appropriate documentation and technical governance are in place. • Acting as a trusted advisor to a non-technical founder. Applicants should have previous experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, Technical Director or similar leadership role, ideally within software, SaaS or mobile applications. We are open to discussing the appropriate level of involvement and would welcome recommendations from candidates regarding the time commitment required.
