Fractional Finance Manager — Kingz Europe Lda
Worldwide
Fractional Finance Manager — Kingz Europe Lda (kingzeurope.com) Location: Remote (Portugal-based preferred) | Engagement: Fractional, 2–3 days/week | Language: Portuguese & English (bilingual required) About Us Kingz Kimonos is a premium Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu apparel brand founded in 2011, built on the values of respect, discipline, and excellence on and off the mat. We are establishing Kingz Europe Lda, our European operating entity headquartered in Portugal, to serve our growing wholesale and retail customer base across Europe. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build the financial infrastructure of a lean, international operation from day one. The Role We are looking for an experienced Fractional Finance Manager to own the financial operations of Kingz Europe Lda end-to-end. You will be the primary liaison between our external accounting and legal partner, our US parent entity, and company leadership — ensuring the numbers are clean, the structure is compliant, and decisions are informed by accurate data. This is not a bookkeeping role. We need someone who thinks like a CFO, operates with the pragmatism of a controller, and communicates clearly across cultures and time zones. What You'll Own • Financial reporting — monthly P&L, cash flow statements, and balance sheet for Kingz Europe Lda • Accounting partner relationship — day-to-day coordination with our accounting, payroll, and legal team; ensuring filings are accurate and on time • Intercompany accounting — managing and reconciling transactions between Kingz Europe Lda and the US parent entity (Fighters Market), including management fees and inventory transfers • Transfer pricing compliance — maintaining documentation in line with Portuguese AT requirements and OECD arm's length standards • Payroll oversight — working with BDO to ensure accurate, compliant payroll for a team of 3–4 employees • Cash flow management — monitoring liquidity, flagging risks early, and recommending corrective action • Tax coordination — supporting VAT filings, corporate tax preparation, and any cross-border tax obligations in partnership with our external Accounting partner • Budgeting and forecasting — building and maintaining an annual operating budget; providing quarterly reforecasts • Reporting to leadership — delivering a concise monthly financial summary to the CEO with clear commentary What We're Looking For Required • Fluent in Portuguese and English — written and spoken (non-negotiable) • Based in Portugal or with deep working knowledge of Portuguese tax and labor law • Experience managing finances for a subsidiary or branch of an international company • Solid understanding of Portuguese corporate tax (IRC), VAT (IVA), and AT compliance • Familiarity with intercompany transactions and transfer pricing at SME scale • Proven ability to manage external accounting partners • Comfortable working independently in a lean, remote-first environment Preferred • Experience with US-Portugal cross-border structures • Background in wholesale, retail, or consumer goods • Proficiency in a Portuguese Tax Authority certified accounting platform • Experience setting up financial operations for a newly registered entity Engagement & Compensation • Type: Fractional / independent contractor • Commitment: 2–3 days per week to start, with potential to grow with the business • Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience — please include your hourly or monthly rate in your application • Start date: Upon company registration (target Q3 2025) How to Apply Please submit: 1. Your CV or LinkedIn profile 2. A brief note (3–5 sentences) describing your experience with international or US-Portugal company structures 3. Your preferred engagement rate
