Title: Fractional Security & Privacy Advisor (B2B SaaS / AI) – Canada Preferred We are an early-stage AI-native B2B SaaS company beginning enterprise customer pilots and are looking for an experienced Security & Privacy Advisor to help us evaluate our current security posture and prepare for enterprise customer security reviews. We recently received a customer security and privacy questionnaire and would like an experienced professional to review our architecture, data handling practices, and development workflows and provide practical guidance on what matters today versus what can wait until later stages of growth. We are looking for someone who can help us: * Review our current architecture and data flows * Understand how customer data and PII are being handled * Assess security and privacy considerations related to cloud infrastructure and development workflows * Review proposed responses to customer security and privacy questionnaires * Identify any obvious security, privacy, or compliance gaps * Advise on practical next steps for the next 6–12 months * Help us understand enterprise customer expectations around security, privacy, and data governance Ideal Background * Fractional CISO * Security Architect * Security & Compliance Consultant * Privacy & Security Advisor * Experience supporting B2B SaaS companies * Experience with enterprise vendor security reviews and procurement processes * Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or modern cloud architectures Nice to Have * Experience with AI / LLM-based products * Familiarity with Canadian and North American privacy expectations * Experience working with startups and early-stage companies * Experience supporting SOC 2 readiness initiatives Engagement Initial engagement is expected to be approximately 3–10 hours and will likely include a review of our architecture, discussions with our engineering team, and guidance on responding to enterprise customer security and privacy questions. There may be an opportunity for ongoing advisory work as the company grows.
