Freelance Graphic Artist – Screen Printing Industry | Ongoing Work About Us Ink & Thread is a screen-printing company serving clients who need high-quality custom apparel and merchandise. We pride ourselves on delivering clean, professional results — and that starts with great artwork. We're looking for a talented freelance graphic artist to join our team on an as-needed basis to help us keep up with client demand. What You'll Be Doing - Creating original artwork for clients who come to us with an idea but no finished design — you'll bring their vision to life - Converting and cleaning up customer-supplied art into print-ready files suitable for screen printing (separating colors, cleaning up low-res logos, recreating raster art as clean vectors, etc.) - Preparing client proofs that show how artwork will look on the specific garment being ordered — color, placement, and sizing clearly represented You're a Great Fit If You... - Have hands-on experience in the screen-printing industry — you understand ink colors, halftones, spot color separations, and print limitations - Are highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop (vector work is essential) - Can take a rough idea, a napkin sketch, or a low-quality logo and turn it into clean, print-ready artwork - Understand how to build files with proper color separations for screen printing - Can produce professional-looking proofs that clients can easily understand and approve - Communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and can handle multiple projects at once - Are comfortable working on a per-project or hourly basis with turnaround times that are sometimes quick Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience working with a screen printer, decorator, or print shop - Familiarity with garment mockup tools or templates (e.g., Placeit, custom Photoshop templates) - Experience with index separations, simulated process printing, or spot color builds - Portfolio showing screen printing or apparel-related design work To Apply, Please Include 1.
