We are looking for an exceptional, data-driven Freelance Creative Strategist to scale our Meta ads. Please note: We are strictly looking for an individual freelancer to collaborate directly with our internal team. Applications from agencies or agency-represented individuals will not be considered. Position Overview We need a brilliant creative mind who lives and breathes the Meta Ads Library, ad auctions, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) performance data. You will bridge the gap between analytics and creative execution—turning hook rates, hold rates, and conversion into winning visual concepts. You will not be responsible for video editing or graphic design yourself; instead, you will architect the visual concepts, write high-converting copy, and manage a team of freelance editors and AI video creators to bring your vision to life. Key Responsibilities Creative Frameworks & Strategy: Devise weekly creative testing roadmaps for Meta based on account performance, active CPMs, and efficiency targets. Directing AI & Freelance Workflows: Write highly detailed, rigorous production briefs for our freelance video editors, graphic designers, and AI video creators (utilizing tools like Midjourney, Runway, and SeeDance). Performance Analysis: Deeply analyze ad account data. You should know exactly how to interpret hook rates (3-second views) and hold rates to diagnose whether a creative failed due to the first 3 seconds, the pacing, or the offer framing. Premium Copywriting: Draft high-converting ad copy, hooks, text overlays, and landing page angles that balance transactional urgency with an elegant, corporate, compliance-friendly tone. Competitive Intelligence: Maintain an active, curated swipe file of high-performing native advertising, sponsored journalism, and competitor direct-response layouts to fuel continuous creative iteration. Key Requirements Proven Track Record: 3+ years of experience specifically developing direct-response creative strategies for e-commerce/DTC brands (experience in health, wellness, or supplements is a massive plus). Data-Fluent: Intimately familiar with Meta Business Manager, Ads Manager, and key metrics (ROAS, CAC, hook rate, outbound CTR, and MER). You design for profitability, keeping eye-level margins in mind. Master of the Brief: Ability to deliver meticulously detailed briefs that give creators exact pacing, visual asset prompts, visual text treatments, and stylistic guardrails (maintaining our signature rich palette, clean layouts, and specific typography). Compliance Awareness: Understanding of how to pitch wellness benefits cleanly and elegantly through informational storytelling, avoiding restricted medical or symptoms-based claims on Meta. Communication: Exceptional standalone collaborator. Highly organized, deadline-driven, and capable of working seamlessly via Slack and project management tools.
