Freelance Mobile QA Tester (Android & iOS) – AI Nutrition App
Worldwide
Project Overview: We're building NutriC, an AI-powered nutrition app that helps users understand packaged foods and receive personalized nutrition guidance based on their health profile, dietary preferences, allergies, and medical conditions. The app is currently in beta. While it works well on our internal devices, our early users have uncovered bugs that we haven't been able to reproduce. We're looking for an experienced mobile QA tester who enjoys breaking apps and uncovering issues before users do. This is an initial QA engagement, but if things go well, we'd love to continue working together for future releases and regression testing. What You'll Do? Your primary goal is to thoroughly test the app from a real user's perspective and help us improve its stability and overall experience. You'll be responsible for: 1. Performing complete end-to-end manual testing across the app 2. Testing onboarding, authentication, core features, and user journeys 3. Exploring edge cases, unexpected user behavior, and failure scenarios 4. Identifying functional bugs, crashes, UI inconsistencies, and usability issues 5. Testing across different Android and iPhone devices whenever possible 6. Reporting clear, reproducible bug reports with screenshots or screen recordings 7. Retesting fixes before release We don't just want someone who follows a checklist—we're looking for someone who naturally asks, "What happens if I try this?" Deliverables: By the end of the engagement, we'd like: 1. A prioritized list of bugs (Critical / High / Medium / Low) 2. Detailed bug reports including: 3. Steps to reproduce 4. Expected vs. actual behavior 5. Screenshots or videos 6. Device model and OS version 7. Suggestions for usability improvements (optional but appreciated) 8. Ideal Experience You should have experience with: 1. Manual testing of Android and iOS applications 2. Mobile app QA and exploratory testing 3. Writing detailed bug reports Bonus points if you've tested: AI-powered applications Consumer-facing mobile apps Health, nutrition, or wellness products Apps involving camera scanning or image recognition Note: Potential for long-term collaboration on future releases
