Freelance Photo Retoucher — Cultural & Heritage Visual Project

We are looking for a skilled photo retoucher for an ongoing premium project centred around Islamic heritage, culture, and civilisation. This is refined, meaningful work, not commercial product retouching. The Aesthetic Think: muted natural tones, soft light, reverence for texture and materiality. Images span manuscript photography, sacred sites, architectural interiors, Islamic geometric art, and contemporary cultural storytelling. The visual language is deliberately quiet, contemplative, and precise. You can see sample images attached. Your job is to enhance without disrupting — to make each image feel timeless, not processed. What You'll Be Doing Retouching and colour-grading photographs for digital and print use, refining light, texture, contrast, and consistency across a body of work, preparing export-ready files across formats, and collaborating with a small creative team to maintain a consistent visual identity throughout. What We're Looking For Advanced Photoshop and Lightroom skills are a given. What matters more is your eye — specifically your sensitivity to atmosphere, subtle light, and cultural context. You should have experience working on premium editorial, heritage, fine art, luxury lifestyle, or architectural photography. Work with Islamic art, Arabic visual culture, or culturally significant content is a strong plus — this isn't about technical competency alone; it's about approaching the work with understanding and respect.
