Freelance QS / Project Coordinator — London fit-out projects (ongoing, per-project)

We're a London-based contractor delivering high-end residential, office and retail fit-out projects, looking for an experienced freelance QS / project coordinator to work alongside the principal and site manager on a project-by-project basis. This is a hands-on commercial and coordination role spanning pre-construction through to completion. On each project you'd own the programme, procurement and project documentation, and report on progress, cost and supply. Typical scope per project: Build and maintain the construction programme; track progress and flag slippage. Source and manage suppliers and subcontractors — quotes, terms, orders, delivery scheduling. Measurements, take-offs and quantities; bills of quantities; estimating and cost control support. Maintain project documentation — procurement schedules, RFIs, submittals, O&M packs, records. Commercial support — valuations, cost reporting, subcontractor packages. What we're looking for: Proven UK fit-out experience (residential, commercial or retail), ideally with a D&B contractor. QS and/or project coordination background; comfortable measuring works and challenging supplier pricing. Proficient in Asta Powerproject or MS Project, plus strong Excel. Self-directed, discreet and reliable — able to work flexibly across multiple projects with minimal supervision.
