Summary

This is an ongoing freelance/contract role. You’ll work project-to-project with our design and strategy team, writing website copy for SaaS and technically sophisticated clients, think developer tools, APIs, infrastructure, data platforms, and B2B software. You’ll own the words from messaging strategy through to the final copy that ships in Webflow. We’re hiring at both mid and senior levels, and we’ll match scope and rate to your experience. How we work We’re a tight-knit team that values people as much as good work. We work cross-disciplinary, so no one is on their own, copywriters, designers, and strategists are all part of the full process. Whatever your role, you’ll have a real say in the decisions that shape a project, not just a brief handed down to execute. What you’ll do - Read and digest technical source material, product docs, API references, spec sheets, and engineering notes, and turn it into website copy that converts - Write clear, persuasive website copy — homepages, product and feature pages, pricing, landing pages, and case studies - Develop messaging strategy: positioning, value propositions, and brand voice tailored to each client - Translate complex, technical products into language that resonates with the right audience, whether developers, IT buyers, or non-technical decision-makers - Write copy directly into wireframes, so words and layout are designed together from the start - Turn the SEO research we provide — keywords and search intent — into on-page copy that ranks and still reads naturally - Collaborate with designers and strategists so copy and layout work together, not against each other - Take feedback well and iterate quickly across rounds of revision What we’re looking for - Proven copywriting experience for SaaS, B2B, or technical websites (portfolio required) - The ability to read technical documentation and understand a complex product, then translate it into clear, conversion-focused copy — without dumbing it down - Strong grasp of website-specific copywriting: hierarchy, scannability, and writing for conversion - Solid SEO writing fundamentals — comfortable writing to keyword and search-intent research (we provide it; you bring it to life) - Experience developing messaging and positioning, not just executing briefs - Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable managing your own time across multiple projects Nice to have - Experience interviewing subject-matter experts or working directly with founders - A point of view on what makes SaaS website copy actually work
