We are looking for a highly skilled Freelance SaaS Video Editor who understands how to make software look beautiful, engaging, and easy to understand. You won’t just be cutting talking heads; you will be responsible for editing high-retention product explainers and feature walkthroughs. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for pacing, clean typography, and UI/UX-focused motion graphics (zooms, highlights, and smooth cursor tracks) that keep B2B and B2C audiences engaged. Key Responsibilities SaaS-Focused Editing: Edit raw screencasts, UI recordings, and talking-head footage into polished, high-converting videos. UI/UX Enhancement: Apply smooth pans, dynamic zooms, cursor tracking, and spotlight effects onto software interfaces to guide the viewer’s eye seamlessly through product workflows. Motion Graphics & Kinetic Typography: Design clean lower-thirds, callouts, text animations, and transition effects that align with our modern brand guidelines. Audio & Sound Design: Handle basic audio cleaning, leveling, strategic sound effects (UI clicks, swooshes), and background music pairing to drive engagement. Iterative Revisions: Actively implement feedback from the marketing and product teams to refine assets. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven Portfolio: A strong showreel or portfolio explicitly demonstrating experience editing tech, software, or SaaS product videos (screencasts, kinetic typography, explainer style). Software Expertise: Deep proficiency in industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve. The "SaaS Aesthetic": An eye for contemporary tech branding—clean layouts, minimal transitions, crisp typography, and intentional pacing. Reliable Workflow: Own a high-performance workstation capable of handling 4K screen recordings, a stable internet connection, and familiarity with collaborative review platforms (like Frame.io). Self-Managed & Remote Ready: Excellent communication skills, a highly structured file management system, and the ability to strictly meet deadlines without constant supervision.
