Freelance Shopify Engineer

We are seeking a freelance Shopify engineer to support ongoing development and improvements to our ecommerce platform. The role will focus on Shopify storefront development, front end UX optimization, and supporting a marketplace style ecommerce model with multiple vendors and integrations. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Shopify storefront functionality, including theme customization and front-end enhancements Manage and optimize Algolia indexing, filtering logic, and backend search configuration to ensure accurate product discovery. Translate Figma designs into responsive, high performing front end implementations Collaborate using GitHub for version control, code management, and deployments Requirements Strong experience with Shopify storefront and theme development Experience implementing Algolia search indexing, filtering, and configuration Experience working with marketplace style ecommerce environments or multi vendor fulfillment Ability to implement designs from Figma Experience using GitHub Experience working with APIs, integrations, or EDI systems Proficiency in JavaScript, Liquid, HTML, and CSS Familiarity with Duoplane and GA4 preferred
