Freelance On-Site ISO Auditor -- Multiple Locations / Paid Per Audit

Freelance On-Site ISO Auditor -- Paid Hourly Per Audit Assignment We are looking for experienced freelance ISO auditors for on-site audit assignments. This is not a full-time role. Auditors will be contacted when an ISO audit is available in their area, and each assignment will be scheduled based on location, availability, ISO standard, and audit scope. The work is paid hourly through Upwork, but each assignment will be agreed in advance based on the audit day, expected hours, travel requirements, and auditor qualifications. Responsibilities: Conduct on-site ISO audits at client locations Review documents, processes, records, and operational controls Interview relevant personnel during the audit Identify conformity, nonconformity, risks, and improvement opportunities Follow the assigned audit plan, checklist, and reporting format Prepare clear audit notes and audit reports Submit required documentation on time Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and independence during audits Required experience: Experience conducting ISO audits Knowledge of one or more ISO standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22000, ISO 13485, or other management system standards Lead Auditor certification preferred Ability to perform professional on-site audits Strong communication and report-writing skills Ability to travel locally to client sites when required Availability for day-based audit assignments Preferred qualifications: ISO Lead Auditor certification Experience with certification audits, supplier audits, second-party audits, internal audits, or gap assessments Experience auditing industries such as manufacturing, construction, logistics, food, healthcare, IT, services, or industrial operations Ability to audit in English; additional languages are a plus Availability in multiple cities or regions Payment: This is an hourly Upwork contract. Expected range: $35–$85 per hour, depending on experience, ISO standard, location, and audit scope. Each audit assignment will be confirmed in advance, including expected hours, site location, reporting requirements, and any travel expectations.
