Freelance Technical Knitwear Designer – Sweater Tech Pack

Launching a higher-end apparel brand focused on sweaters and polos that blend refined and everyday wear, made from merino wool and Pima cotton. We're looking for a freelance technical knitwear designer to help translate a fully-developed sweater design concept into a professional tech pack ready to send to an overseas manufacturing partner. Deliverables include technical flats (front and back), a finished sizing spec grid, and detailed construction/callout notes a knitwear mill can execute against. The ideal candidate has genuine knitwear-specific experience (not just cut-and-sew woven apparel) — comfortable working with fine-gauge sweater construction, seaming techniques, and yarn/gauge specification. Experience working with overseas knitwear manufacturers (South America, Asia, or similar) is a strong plus. This is an early-stage, small-batch first production run, so we're looking for someone comfortable working directly with a founder rather than a large in-house design team.
