Freelance AI Video & Animation Specialist

We're looking for a creative technologist who sits at the intersection of character design, cinematic storytelling, and generative AI. This is a freelance/project-based role for someone who can take a concept from character sketch to finished scene — using today's best AI video and image generation tools to produce studio-quality output. What You'll Be Doing Designing original characters with a distinct, consistent visual identity using tools like Midjourney, Nano Banana, or equivalent tools which you like. Building cinematic storyboards that introduce characters through intentional visual storytelling — not just pretty frames, but narrative-driven sequences with a clear arc and payoff Writing detailed, technically precise prompts for current video generation models (Seedance 2, Kling, Runway, Sora, etc.), with a demonstrated understanding of their capabilities and failure modes Managing asset consistency across shots — keeping characters, props, and environments recognisable from cut to cut Treating sound as a storytelling tool — defining per-shot SFX logic and overall soundtrack mood alongside the visuals Delivering work at a quality bar suitable for longer-form narrative content (30+ minutes) What We're Looking For Proven command of generative image and video models — you know how to prompt against a model's defaults, not just with them Fluency in cinematographic language: focal lengths, named shot types, camera movement, lens behaviour A committed, recognisable artistic voice — your submissions should feel like yours, not like defaults Strong narrative instincts — you think in scenes, not just shots Ability to define explicit style negatives (what to steer the model away from) and use them effectively Self-directed and deadline-oriented; comfortable working without heavy supervision Engagement Type: Freelance / Project-based Output Standard: Studio-grade; suitable for long-form narrative content.
