About LumenXL LumenXL is a fast-growing international e-commerce company specialising in lighting and interiors. Based in the Netherlands, we serve customers across several European countries through multiple online stores. There’s much more behind those stores than just selling products. Logistics, product information, customer experience, marketing, purchasing and various operational processes all come together on a daily basis. To support our continued growth, we’re looking for an independent freelancer who can take on a broad range of responsibilities within our e-commerce organisation. For this role, it’s important that you can be flexible with your working hours. You’re willing to occasionally work evenings and Saturdays. The rest of your schedule can be arranged together. A varied role with room to grow You’ll start close to our day-to-day operations. This allows you to quickly get to know our products, customers, systems and internal processes. Customer contact is an important part of the role, but your responsibilities go beyond answering questions. You’ll investigate issues, work with different departments and think about ways to improve our service and internal processes. As you get to know the organisation better, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and further develop your role within the company. What will you do? Your responsibilities will include: * Independently investigating and resolving questions related to orders, deliveries and products; * Communicating with customers via email, chat and phone; * Working closely with colleagues in logistics, purchasing, content and marketing; * Identifying recurring issues and looking for structural solutions; * Improving and streamlining internal processes; * Using AI and automation to make our work more efficient; * Supporting a variety of operational and e-commerce projects; * Taking on new responsibilities as you show that you’re ready for them. As a result, no two days have to look exactly the same. We especially like people who are curious about what happens behind the scenes of an international e-commerce company. Who are we looking for? Above all, we’re looking for someone who learns quickly, thinks independently and isn’t afraid to take responsibility. You don’t need years of e-commerce experience to be a good fit. Ideally, you have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Your field of study is less important to us than your ability to quickly understand new information and apply it independently. In addition: * You speak and write Dutch fluently; * You communicate confidently in English; * Knowledge of German is a big plus! * You work independently, accurately and in an organised way; * You have an analytical and solution-oriented mindset; * You quickly get the hang of new systems and ways of working; * You take initiative rather than waiting for instructions; * You have a quiet, professional workspace and a stable internet connection.
