Front End Visualization Developer

We run a data-heavy analytics platform and are looking for a frontend developer to own our visualisation layer and help polish our written content. This is a long-term, full-time role working directly with the founder. Fast iteration, real ownership, no committee. What you will do • Build and maintain dynamic, interactive dashboards driven by live and structured data • Design and implement charts and visualisations: time series, distributions, heatmaps, surfaces, and 3D where it adds clarity • Take long-form articles and elevate them with charts, diagrams, callouts, and clean visual layout • Keep everything fast and readable on large datasets • Work inside a server-rendered, lightweight-JavaScript codebase (no heavy SPA framework) Our stack • Server-rendered backend (ASP.NET Core, Umbraco CMS) • Alpine.js for interactivity • Chart.js for charting • THREE.js for 3D and surface rendering • Plain HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript You must have • Strong JavaScript fundamentals that do not depend on a framework • A portfolio of real data visualisation work (dashboards, charts, interactive graphics) • A genuine eye for clean, information-dense design • Comfort working in server-rendered templates and progressive enhancement • Fluent written English and reliable daily overlap with European business hours Nice to have Nice to have • D3.js or deeper WebGL and THREE.js experience • Familiarity with financial or markets data • Umbraco or .NET exposure • Performance tuning for heavy or real-time data Engagement • Full-time, around 40 hours per week • Working hours roughly 9:00 to 17:00 Central European Time • 12-month engagement with strong potential to extend • Stable, ongoing work, not a one-off project To apply Start your proposal with the word DASHBOARD so we know you read this.
