Role: Consultant — Frontier AI Lab Introductions & Business Model Advisory Company: Bentham Research Location: Remote Engagement: Short-term consultancy / advisory project Compensation: To be agreed based on network strength, introductions delivered and advisory value About Bentham Bentham Research is building the peer-reviewed humanities layer for frontier AI. We convene leading domain experts in ethics, philosophy, history, theology and political theory to create benchmark, evaluation and post-training datasets for frontier AI labs. Our work helps frontier models reduce hallucination, sycophancy, false certainty and shallow moral reasoning by giving them access to scholar-led reasoning data, adversarial prompts, evaluation frameworks and post-training datasets. The Assignment We are seeking a well-connected consultant with direct knowledge of the frontier AI ecosystem to help Bentham reach the right people inside leading AI labs and refine our commercial proposition. This is not simply a lead-generation role. We are looking for someone who can make personal introductions to people they know directly, especially individuals working in or close to: Model evaluation Post-training RLHF / RLAIF Alignment AI safety Benchmarking Red teaming Human data Expert data procurement Data partnerships Model behaviour and reasoning quality The consultant should also provide precise, practical advice on how Bentham should adjust its business model, product packaging, pricing, pilot structure and messaging so that it resonates with frontier AI labs. Core Responsibilities The consultant will be expected to: Make personal introductions to relevant contacts inside frontier AI labs, AI data companies, evaluation teams, post-training teams or adjacent organisations. Advise on Bentham’s business model, including: Whether Bentham should lead with benchmarks, post-training datasets, red-teaming, evaluations or enterprise assurance How frontier labs currently buy expert data and evaluation services Who the real decision-makers are What budget lines Bentham should target How to structure an initial paid pilot What pricing would be credible What objections Bentham is likely to face How to differentiate from Scale AI, Surge AI, Mercor and other data/evaluation providers Help refine the outreach strategy, including: Which labs to approach first Which teams and titles matter most Which contacts are worth prioritising What language will resonate with technical buyers What claims should be avoided What evidence Bentham needs before approaching senior decision-makers Review Bentham’s current proposition and provide direct feedback on: Product-market fit Commercial credibility Lab-facing messaging Pilot design Dataset format and delivery expectations Buyer psychology inside frontier AI labs Produce a short strategic memo summarising: Recommended business model adjustments Best initial customer targets Recommended introductions Suggested outreach sequence Key risks and objections Practical next steps to secure a first pilot Target Organisations Relevant introductions may include contacts at: OpenAI Anthropic Google DeepMind Meta AI xAI Mistral AI Cohere Perplexity Safe Superintelligence Inc. Thinking Machines Lab Scale AI Surge AI Mercor Other frontier AI labs, data providers, alignment organisations or AI safety institutes Ideal Candidate The ideal consultant will have: Direct personal relationships inside frontier AI labs or leading AI data/evaluation companies Strong understanding of AI post-training, RLHF, model evaluation, alignment or data procurement Experience advising AI startups, frontier labs, data vendors or technical B2B companies Ability to distinguish between useful commercial contacts and generic AI employees Clear judgement on how an early-stage company should position itself to secure pilot revenue Willingness to provide candid, practical feedback rather than generic advice This role is especially suitable for someone who has worked in AI labs, AI safety, model evaluation, AI data operations, technical partnerships, venture-backed AI companies or frontier AI advisory work. Deliverables The consultant should provide: A list of personal introductions they can credibly make Introductory emails or messages to selected contacts A prioritised map of relevant teams and decision-makers Feedback on Bentham’s current business model and product positioning Recommended pilot structure for first frontier lab engagement A short written advisory memo with practical recommendations Optional follow-up support for first meetings, if agreed Success Criteria Success will be measured by quality, not volume. The ideal outcome is that Bentham receives warm introductions to credible people inside frontier AI labs or adjacent AI data/evaluation organisations, and receives precise advice on how to adapt its offer so that it can secure its first paid pilot or strategic partnership.
