Full-Stack Developer — Home Care Management Platform Project type: Long-term, multi-phase Engagement: Contract, ongoing Hours: Full-time or near full-time Start date: Within 2–4 weeks Location: Remote (US time zone overlap preferred) About the Project We're building Anaya Care, a mobile-first home care management platform that connects care organizations with caregivers, families, and care coordinators. The platform handles scheduling, care plans, shift documentation, family communication, and care quality coordination. Phase 1 of the platform is live in production and currently being used by an anchor subscriber for real-world testing. The product is governed by a comprehensive PRD covering 46 feature modules across three release phases. We're transitioning from our current development team to a new contractor team and need a strong full-stack developer to handle backend and web work. A Note on the Codebase Anaya Care has been in active development for over a year. Phase 1 is live in the App Store with our anchor subscriber actively testing. We're now transitioning from our original development team to a new contractor team — meaning the new hires will be inheriting an existing codebase rather than building from scratch. This means: • The product is real, with real users, and real production constraints • The new team's first work is understanding the existing code, documentation, and architectural decisions • Some technical debt and undocumented decisions exist; addressing them is part of the work • We have a comprehensive PRD (v4.2) and a Developer Reference document, but the codebase itself will have gaps the new team helps close If you enjoy stabilizing and extending existing codebases — bringing structure, documentation, and quality discipline to inherited work — this project will fit you well. If you prefer greenfield projects with no constraints, this probably isn't the right fit. What the Role Involves Full-stack development covering backend infrastructure, REST APIs, web admin interfaces, and integration support for the mobile team. Specific responsibilities: • Backend API development (the mobile app and web admin both call this backend) • Database design and optimization (likely PostgreSQL — to be confirmed) • Authentication, RBAC, and multi-tenant isolation • Web admin interface for care managers and subscriber organizations • Third-party integrations (payment processing, communication tools, eventually EVV systems) • HIPAA-aligned data handling — encryption, access logs, audit trails • Working closely with the Tech Lead on architectural decisions Required Skills • 5+ years full-stack experience • Strong backend skills — REST API design, relational database modeling, authentication (OAuth/JWT) • Strong frontend skills with a modern web framework (React preferred, but Vue or others acceptable) • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture experience — strict instance isolation is non-negotiable • Database design and optimization — PostgreSQL or MySQL • Production deployment experience (AWS, Vercel, Railway, or similar) • Clean, documented, testable code — this is a long-term codebase • Comfortable working from detailed product specifications Preferred Skills • Healthcare or compliance-adjacent experience (HIPAA-aligned architectures, audit logging) • B2B SaaS experience — especially with multiple subscriber types and complex role-based permissions • Experience with payment processing integration (Stripe or similar) • Experience inheriting and stabilizing an existing codebase • Familiarity with EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) systems • TypeScript experience What You Won't Be Doing • This is not a greenfield project. We're extending and stabilizing a live product. • This is not a mobile-only role. Mobile development is led by the Tech Lead. • This is not a one-off project. We're looking for long-term partnership.
