The platform will allow users to either list an available room/property ("Rooms Available") or post a personal profile looking for a place to live ("Rooms Wanted"). The structure, user flow, and monetization model will be heavily inspired by platforms like Flatmates.com.au and Roommates.com.au. Core Key Features Required Dual Listing Types: * Property Listings: Landlords/leaseholders post rooms with rent prices, bond, bills configuration, availability dates, and property features. Person Listings: House-hunters post personal bios, budgets, preferred locations, and lifestyle habits (e.g., smoking, pets, cleanliness). Advanced Map & Search Filters: Integration with Google Maps or Mapbox. Users must be able to search by suburb, radius, price range, room type, and specific roommate preferences (e.g., LGBTQ+ friendly, student-friendly). In-App Messaging System: A secure, real-time chat system allowing users to coordinate inspections without revealing personal phone numbers or emails prematurely. Premium Subscriptions & Paywalls: A monetization system (via Stripe) that restricts certain actions—such as blocking free users from messaging "Early Bird" listings (less than 14 days old) unless they upgrade to a premium pass. Identity Verification & Trust: Integration with a basic verification system (or social login) to ensure user safety and reduce spam/scam listings. Technical Preferences Frontend: React.js, Next.js, or Vue.js (highly responsive, mobile-optimized web UI is a must). Backend: Node.js, Python (Django), or Ruby on Rails.
