Full-Stack Developer Needed to Build an AI-Powered EdTech Platform (MVP) We're looking for an experienced full-stack developer to build the MVP of an online Hebrew Reading platform that connects Hebrew Schools, tutors, parents, and students. I'd prefer a vibe coder if possible. The goal is to automate the entire tutoring workflow—from enrollment and scheduling to live lessons, progress tracking, testing, and notifications. This is a real product that will be piloted in Hebrew Schools shortly after launch. If the MVP is successful, we're looking for a long-term development partner to continue building the platform. The Problem Hebrew Schools spend countless hours every year teaching Hebrew reading. Students learn at different speeds, teachers can't provide enough one-on-one attention, and directors spend valuable time coordinating schedules and tracking progress. We believe Hebrew reading can be taught much more effectively through short, individualized online tutoring sessions. The platform should automate nearly everything so Hebrew School directors can focus on teaching Judaism—not managing logistics. User Types The platform has five user roles: CKids Admin Hebrew School Director (Shliach) Tutor Parent Student MVP Workflow 1. Hebrew School Registration The Hebrew School Director creates an account and enters: Hebrew School name City Country Contact information They then upload or manually add students: Student name Grade Parent email 2. Billing The Hebrew School pays for tutoring. Pricing: $360 per student per school year Payment should be processed through Stripe. After payment: Student accounts become active Parent invitation emails are automatically sent If additional students are added later in the year, the system should calculate a prorated tuition automatically. 3. Parent Registration Parents receive an invitation email. They create an account and complete registration by entering: Parent information Child information Parents then choose their top three preferred weekly tutoring times (15-minute sessions). Example: Tuesday – 4:00 PM Wednesday – 5:15 PM Thursday – 3:45 PM 4. Tutor Management Tutors are created by CKids Admin. Tutors enter recurring weekly availability. Availability must be entered in blocks of at least 2 consecutive hours. Example: Monday 3:00 PM–5:00 PM Wednesday 4:00 PM–8:00 PM 5. Automatic Tutor Matching The platform automatically matches students with tutors based on: Parent availability Tutor availability Student reading level Tutor workload No manual scheduling should be required. 6. Weekly Tutoring Sessions The system automatically: Creates recurring weekly tutoring sessions Generates a Google Meet or Zoom meeting Sends reminder emails to tutors and parents Displays sessions inside each dashboard Each lesson is 15 minutes. 7. Tutor Dashboard Tutors should be able to: View today's schedule View upcoming sessions Launch meetings View assigned students Record attendance Enter lesson notes Update student progress Mark students as Ready for Test 8. Hebrew School Director Dashboard Directors should be able to: View all enrolled students Monitor progress View tutor notes See students ready for testing Test students Approve level advancement When a student passes: Parent is notified Tutor is notified Student dashboard updates Leaderboard updates automatically 9. Parent Dashboard Parents should be able to: View upcoming lessons Join tutoring sessions Track progress Read tutor notes View current reading level 10. Student Dashboard Students should be see: Current level Progress Next lesson Achievements Leaderboard 11. Leaderboard When students pass a level, they are automatically added to a public leaderboard. Display: First name + last initial Hebrew School City Current level Admin Dashboard CKids Admin should be be able to manage: Hebrew Schools Tutors Students Scheduling Billing Reporting The Admin Dashboard should also provide analytics such as: Active schools Active students Tutor utilization Student progress Revenue Levels passed Technology We're flexible on the tech stack. Suggested technologies: Next.js React Tailwind CSS Supabase PostgreSQL Stripe Clerk/Auth.js Google Calendar API Google Meet or Zoom API Vercel If you have a better recommendation, we're happy to hear it. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Can move quickly Writes clean, scalable code Thinks like a product owner Makes smart architectural decisions Communicates well Can recommend better solutions, not just build exactly what's written Deliverables A working, hosted MVP including: User authentication Five user roles Hebrew School enrollment Stripe billing Parent onboarding Automatic tutor assignment Scheduling Video meeting generation Dashboards Notifications Leaderboard The application should be organized so it can grow into a production platform after testing. Timeline Target MVP completion: One week. We're intentionally building a lean MVP to validate the workflow with real Hebrew Schools. If the pilot is successful, there will be substantial follow-on work to expand the platform with additional educational tools, AI-powered features, communication tools, reporting, curriculum resources, and more. To Apply Please include: Examples of similar SaaS platforms you've built Your recommended tech stack How you would approach automatic scheduling and tutor matching Estimated timeline Fixed-price quote Bonus: Experience building scheduling platforms (Calendly, tutoring platforms, coaching software, LMS systems, marketplaces, etc.) is a significant advantage.
