Full Stack Developer & Shopify Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Ecommerce Engineer to support, maintain, and continuously improve a custom Shopify Plus B2B ecommerce platform. This is an ongoing part-time role focused on platform development, ecommerce operations, integrations, performance, and customer experience improvements. You will work across the full stack, helping evolve both the customer-facing storefront and the supporting backend services. The ideal candidate combines strong Shopify Plus expertise with modern full-stack development skills and is comfortable owning features from concept through deployment. Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and enhance a custom Shopify Plus ecommerce platform * Handle adhoc support requests, troubleshooting, and platform improvements * Build and maintain frontend functionality using Next.js and React * Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and business workflows * Work with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations * Improve platform performance, reliability, and scalability * Implement new ecommerce features and customer-facing functionality * Support deployments, environments, and release processes * Debug issues across frontend, backend, and third-party systems * Identify opportunities to improve UX, CRO, and operational efficiency * Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions * Contribute to technical architecture and platform evolution Tech Stack * Shopify Plus * Shopify Admin API * Shopify Storefront API * Next.js * React * Tailwind CSS * Supabase * Vercel * REST APIs * Git/GitHub Requirements * Strong Shopify Plus development experience * Experience building custom ecommerce solutions and integrations * Strong full-stack development experience * Advanced React and Next.js knowledge * Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and backend services * Experience with Supabase or similar backend platforms * Experience deploying and managing applications on Vercel * Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills * Understanding of performance optimisation, scalability, and security best practices * Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions * Strong written and verbal English communication skills Nice to Have * B2B ecommerce experience * Headless commerce experience * Shopify app development experience * Shopify Functions experience * CRO and UX optimisation experience * Experience with ERP, CRM, or third-party system integrations * SEO and web performance optimisation experience * Experience supporting live production ecommerce environments Availability * Must have reasonable overlap with Irish business hours * Responsive during business hours for support requests * Comfortable working in an async-first environment * Able to manage tasks independently and proactively Engagement * Part-time ongoing role * Opportunity for increased involvement as the platform grows * Long-term engagement for the right candidate Communication & Workflow * Microsoft Teams for communication * ClickUp for task management * Async-first working environment * Mix of support, feature development, optimisation, and strategic improvements What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who thinks like an owner rather than a ticket-taker.
