Full Time QA Engineer for AI Healthcare Startup

The Role We are looking for a QA Engineer who can keep pace with high-velocity, AI-driven development across our product suite. This is a manual-first role at its core: you will own test design, AI agent validation, and the QA documentation and processes that let us scale without breaking. Just as importantly, it comes with a clear automation growth path - as you grow into the role, you will move from manual and exploratory testing toward building automated regression and test harnesses for our AI and integration workflows. This is a hands-on role for someone who is genuinely curious about AI, hungry to learn new tools, and motivated by the challenge of testing systems that don't always behave deterministically. You will be the quality backbone of a small, ambitious team. What You'll Do Design, write, and execute manual test cases across web, API, and voice-driven product features Test and evaluate AI agents and LLM-powered workflows - including non-deterministic outputs, conversational flows, and edge-case handling Build and maintain clear QA documentation: test plans, test cases, bug reports, and release checklists Partner closely with engineering, product, and solution architecture to validate features end-to-end before they ship Reproduce, isolate, and clearly communicate defects with strong attention to detail Help define and continuously improve QA processes, standards, and best practices as the team grows Grow into test automation over time - scripting API checks, automated regression, and test harnesses for our AI and integration workflows Contribute to release readiness for healthcare integrations (EHR, referral pipelines, voice AI) What We're Looking For Required Strong foundation in manual testing - test case design, execution, and defect lifecycle management Experience testing AI agents, chatbots, or LLM-based systems, or a demonstrated, hands-on understanding of how to approach testing non-deterministic AI behavior Excellent QA documentation skills - you write test artifacts that are clear, structured, and reusable Genuine interest in AI and a strong drive to learn new technologies and tools quickly Sharp analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, early-stage remote environment Nice to Have Knowledge of or exposure to healthcare software, EHR systems, or HIPAA-aware workflows Hands-on experience with test automation (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman / API testing) Familiarity with voice AI platforms (e.g., ElevenLabs, Retell AI) or telephony testing Experience with QA in a startup or rapid-delivery setting Why Join Us Shape the QA function from the ground up - your decisions become the team's standards Work at the frontier of AI and healthcare on products that have real-world impact A learning-rich environment where curiosity and initiative are rewarded Fully remote, with high ownership, high trust, and direct impact on what we ship
