Full-Time Performance Video Editor for DTC Meta Ads | UGC, AI Voiceover & Direct Response Ads
Worldwide
We are looking for a full-time Performance Video Editor to join our creative team and help us produce high-performing video ads for a fast-growing DTC e-commerce brand. This role is focused on editing ad-ready videos for Meta/Facebook/Instagram based on briefs, scripts, UGC footage, AI voiceovers, product footage, testimonials, hooks, and performance angles. We are not looking for a general video editor who only makes videos look nice. We are looking for someone who understands direct response video editing — how to grab attention fast, keep the viewer watching, make the message clear, and edit in a way that helps the ad convert. The main types of videos you will edit include: UGC-style ads AI voiceover ads Founder/story-style ads Product demonstration ads Problem/solution ads Testimonial/review ads Educational ads Mechanism/explainer ads Comparison ads Offer/promo ads Short-form Meta ads in 9:16 format Most of our ads are made for paid social, especially Meta. Important Language Note Our ads are mainly in Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish. You do not need to be a native speaker of these languages, but you must be able to edit ads in languages you may not fully understand. We already have systems, scripts, briefs, translations, timestamps, subtitles, and internal review processes that make this possible. However, this is still an important part of the role. You need to be detail-oriented and comfortable editing based on: Translated scripts Time-coded notes Subtitle files Briefs and creative direction Visual references Feedback from native speakers AI voiceover files UGC footage in Nordic languages You should be comfortable working carefully even when you do not fully understand every spoken word. What You’ll Be Doing Your main responsibility will be editing performance ads from creative briefs and scripts. You will usually receive: A script or creative brief UGC clips or raw footage Product footage Voiceover files Hook variations B-roll instructions Examples or reference ads Brand assets Notes on pacing, subtitles, and structure You will turn this into polished, ad-ready videos. This includes: Cutting and structuring footage Creating strong first 3-second hooks Adding captions/subtitles Matching B-roll to the script Adding product shots and visual proof Improving pacing and retention Adding simple graphics, callouts, arrows, highlights, and text overlays Editing multiple hook variations Creating different versions for testing Making sure the ad is clear even without sound Exporting in correct formats for Meta ads What We’re Looking For You should have experience with: Editing paid social ads for DTC/e-commerce brands UGC ad editing Meta/Facebook/Instagram video ad formats Direct response video structure Fast-paced mobile-first editing Captions, callouts, text overlays, and visual hooks Creating multiple ad variations from the same source footage Editing from scripts and briefs Understanding what makes people stop scrolling and keep watching You should be strong at: Pacing Storytelling Retention editing Hook editing Visual clarity Subtitle accuracy Matching visuals to the message Making ads feel native to social media Following briefs carefully Taking feedback and improving fast Bonus if you have experience with: Health, wellness, beauty, sleep, fitness, or lifestyle brands Editing ads in languages you do not speak fluently AI voiceover ads ElevenLabs or similar AI voiceover tools CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar Motion graphics Product animation Static ad adaptation into video Creative strategy or ad performance analysis The Most Important Thing We care about performance. A good-looking video is not enough. Every ad needs to be edited so that: The hook is clear immediately The viewer understands the problem The product solution is easy to understand The pacing keeps attention The subtitles are easy to read The visuals match what is being said The ad feels native to Meta The message is clear even on mute The final video is ready to test as a paid ad We want someone who can take a brief and not just “edit the video”, but actually help make the ad stronger. Role Type This is a full-time role. We are looking for someone who can become part of our creative production system long-term. You will work closely with our creative strategist, copywriters, and internal team. We want someone reliable, fast, detail-oriented, and able to handle a consistent flow of ad production. We may start with a paid test project before moving into a full-time collaboration. Paid Test Project As part of the hiring process, we may ask you to complete a paid test edit. This could include: Editing one UGC-style ad from a brief and raw footage Creating 2–3 hook variations Adding subtitles and text overlays Matching B-roll to the script Delivering a final 9:16 ad-ready version The goal is to see your editing style, pacing, attention to detail, and ability to follow a direct response ad brief. To Apply Please include: Your portfolio with relevant paid social ads Examples of UGC ads or DTC/e-commerce video ads you have edited Your experience editing Meta/Facebook/Instagram ads Your experience working from scripts and briefs Your experience editing videos in languages you do not fully understand, if any The editing tools you use Your availability for full-time work Your expected monthly rate or hourly rate Your typical turnaround time for a 30–60 second UGC ad Please start your application with the word “PERFORMANCE” so we know you read the full job post.
