Functional/Holistic Health Practitioner — Bloodwork Interpretation
Worldwide
I'm a 50-year-old male, highly active (strength training, cardio, mobility work), with an already clean and simple diet. I'm not chasing a health scare — I'm looking for an ongoing advisor relationship, not a one-time consult. I'm seeking a holistic health practitioner or functional medicine-oriented professional (MD, DO, ND, nutritionist, or similar with strong lab-interpretation experience) to: Interpret bloodwork and other lab panels (lipids, inflammatory markers, hormones, metabolic markers, etc.) with a preventive/optimization lens, not just "in range vs. out of range" Advise on nutrition adjustments based on lab trends and my activity level Weigh in on fitness/training load as it relates to recovery, hormones, and long-term health markers Help me think through decisions when new results or symptoms come up — I want a second opinion I can trust, not just a report Relevant context: Recent Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) score of 39 — not high, not zero. Not a source of anxiety, but I want someone who can help me think clearly about what it does and doesn't mean going forward, and whether/how to adjust anything. I already eat a healthy, simple diet and train seriously — this is about fine-tuning and long-term monitoring, not a lifestyle overhaul. Engagement structure: As-needed, hourly basis — not a subscription or package program Expect periodic sessions (roughly whenever I get new labs done, a few times a year) plus occasional ad hoc questions Comfortable with async communication (e.g., sending labs + questions via email/message) as well as scheduled calls when deeper discussion is needed Ideal candidate: Strong, demonstrable experience reading and interpreting comprehensive lab panels beyond standard reference ranges Comfortable working with an already-healthy, highly active client focused on optimization rather than remediation Direct communicator — I want clear reasoning behind recommendations, not vague wellness language Experience with cardiovascular risk markers (lipids, ApoB, Lp(a), CAC context) is a strong plus given my CAC history To apply, please share: Your relevant credentials/background (functional medicine, integrative health, nutrition, etc.) Experience interpreting labs for healthy, high-performing clients (not just chronic disease management) Your hourly rate and typical turnaround time for lab review Any experience discussing CAC scores / cardiovascular risk markers specifically As a relevant digression, I'm highly partial to natural approaches. The drug industry, vaccines included, are filled with statistical manipulation that I greet with profound skepticism.
