Functional Recipe Developer / Food Scientist

We're looking for a Functional Recipe Developer / Food Scientist to create proprietary recipes for our Beirut-based café, Lonely Mouth. About us: Lonely Mouth is a functional, gut-brain-focused café concept. Our menu centers on functional smoothies, coffee drinks, and grab-and-go items; yogurt bowls, chia puddings, overnight oats, savory dips, protein balls, and no-bake/baked goods. The entire menu is refined-sugar-free and mostly gluten-free (not celiac-safe). We previously worked with a local consultant on our menu, but that relationship has ended, and we're looking for someone new for future seasonal drops. Ideal candidate: - Food science, nutrition, or culinary R&D background with hands-on recipe development experience - Comfortable with functional food principles (nutrient density, ingredient synergy, macros) - Plus: gut health or anti-inflammatory nutrition knowledge - Experience with refined-sugar-free/gluten-free formulation - Strong visual/presentation sense - Can deliver tested recipes with technical sheets, sourcing notes and macro breakdowns Scope: ~6 drops/year, 1–2 per quarter. Each drop can be a smoothie, food item, or mix, depending on season. Structure: project or per-drop basis, full IP assigned to us.
