Furniture Technical Designer – SOP/Construction Drawings for Upholstered Furniture (AutoCAD)

We are a premium upholstered furniture manufacturer based in India (Wercosa Furniture). We design and produce sofas, sofa beds, and recliners for the domestic market. We are looking for an experienced furniture technical designer who can produce factory-ready SOP/construction drawings in AutoCAD (.dwg) based on reference images — primarily Italian and European designs. What you'll do: Study reference images/photos of Italian sofa, sofa bed, and recliner designs Produce complete SOP/construction drawings including: Frame dimensions and structure Mechanism drawings (for sofa beds and recliners) Foam layer specifications Fabric/upholstery cut diagrams Assembly sequence notes Deliver clean AutoCAD .dwg files ready for factory use Ideal background: Experience working with upholstered furniture manufacturers (China, Turkey, Italy, or similar) Strong understanding of recliner mechanisms and sofa bed mechanisms Can work from photos/catalog images — no CAD source files provided Fluent enough in English for basic communication Engagement: Per project/per design Starting with a paid test project (1 design) Long-term ongoing work for the right person To apply, you MUST include: Portfolio showing furniture technical/SOP drawings you have done (not renders — actual construction drawings) At least 1 example of a recliner or sofa bed drawing Your rate per complete drawing set Your typical turnaround time per design Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
