Summary

Fusion 360 Specialist Required for Segmented Internal Gear & Functional 3D-Print Parts I am looking for an experienced Fusion 360 mechanical CAD specialist with demonstrated experience creating functional 3D-printable gears and mechanical parts. The required geometry and dimensions are already defined. I need them converted accurately into editable Fusion 360 models and print-ready files. This is a staged job because prototype parts will be physically printed and tested before the next stage is approved. Main Gear Specification Create a segmented internal spur gear with: • Module: 2 • Teeth: 260 • Pressure angle: 20° • Pitch diameter: 520 mm • Approximate face width: 6 mm • Print material: PETG • Mating pinion: Module 2, 20-tooth • Final gear divided into 12 × 30° working segments • 2 spare segments The final twelve working sections must form one continuous 360° internal gear, with tooth pitch remaining accurate across all joins. Milestone 1 — Tooth Test Create a small printable test piece containing representative Module 2 internal gear teeth. It will be physically printed and tested against the actual 20T Module 2 pinion to check: • tooth geometry • print tolerance • mesh • backlash • smooth movement Please do not proceed to Milestone 2 until I confirm the physical test has passed or provide a required adjustment. Milestone 2 — Three-Segment Joint Test Create three adjoining 30° gear segments using a suitable alignment/joining system. The test must check: • segment alignment • joint accuracy • continuous tooth pitch across two joins • smooth pinion movement across both joins • reliable positioning when assembled If you recommend a particular joining method, please explain it before incorporating it. Milestone 3 — Final Gear Segments After successful physical testing, prepare the final production files for: • 12 × working 30° segments • 2 × spare 30° segments If all segments are identical, one controlled production model/file is acceptable. Milestone 4 — Roller Tyre Prototype Create a printable PETG tyre to fit over a 626-2RS bearing. Current starting dimensions: • Outside diameter: approximately 22 mm • Width: approximately 12 mm • Groove width: approximately 6.4 mm • Groove depth: approximately 1.5 mm The first file will be a prototype. It will be physically printed and checked against the actual bearing and mating assembly. If adjustment is required, I will provide the measured result. Please include one revision after physical prototype testing. After approval, the same final model will be used to produce: • 4 working tyres • 1 spare tyre Required Deliverables Please provide: • editable Fusion 360 .f3d source files • STEP files • print-ready 3MF files preferred • STL files if appropriate • clearly named files • revision identification such as Rev A / Rev B • all dimensions in millimetres I require the editable source files as well as the print-ready files. Experience Required I am specifically looking for someone with experience in: • internal spur gears • Module-based gear geometry • segmented large-diameter gears • PETG/FDM mechanical parts • backlash and print tolerances • functional parts that mesh with real gears • prototype-test-revision workflows • Fusion 360 source modelling Experience creating large segmented internal gears for 3D printing is strongly preferred. Please include examples of relevant gear or mechanical CAD work when applying. Please also confirm that you understand: • Module 2 geometry • 20° pressure angle • a 260-tooth internal gear • meshing with a 20T Module 2 pinion • maintaining tooth continuity across segmented joins Pricing Please provide your fixed-price quote broken down by milestone, along with: 1. examples of similar work 2. estimated turnaround for each milestone 3. number of revisions included 4. confirmation that editable .f3d files will be supplied 5. confirmation that you are happy to pause between milestones while prototypes are physically printed and tested Please identify any geometry, tolerance or printability concern before making a significant change.
