GA4 & Server-Side GTM Architect – Cloud Tagging & BigQuery Data Pipeline SetupJob

We are looking for a high-level Tracking Engineer to migrate our infrastructure to Server-Side Google Tag Manager (sGTM) and establish a clean Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data stream that maps directly to our cloud data warehouse.Due to increasing browser-side privacy constraints, ad-blockers, and iOS tracking limitations, we need a robust, first-party server-side setup to protect our conversion signal quality. Additionally, we want to scale this data pipeline directly into Google BigQuery for raw event-level reporting. Key Responsibilities:Server-Side GTM Provisioning: Deploy and manage a stable sGTM environment (via Google Cloud Platform or a managed provider like Stape/Elevar) configured under our own custom first-party subdomain.Server Tag Migration: Transition heavy browser-side tags (Google Ads Enhanced Conversions, Meta Conversions API / CAPI, GA4 Server tags) into the server container to improve page speed and data accuracy.DataLayer to Client Mapping: Map incoming client-side event streams to proper server-side Clients and Transmitters. BigQuery Integration: Connect GA4 to BigQuery, optimizing the raw event export schema (streaming and daily exports) for downstream analytics and custom attribution models. Privacy & Cookie Governance: Correctly tie the server-side setup into our Consent Management Platform (CMP) ensuring compliance with Consent Mode v2.Required Skills:Deep experience configuring Server-Side GTM (sGTM) architectures.Strong familiarity with cloud setups (Google Cloud Platform / App Engine configurations).Competency writing SQL queries in BigQuery to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot raw, unaggregated event-level analytics data. Comprehensive understanding of first-party cookie context, DNS configurations, and privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA).
