GIS Specialist (Spatial Data Integration & Dashboard)

Build the GIS Engine Behind an AI Platform for Smart Cities Are you passionate about GIS and excited by the idea of turning AI detections into a powerful, interactive map that governments actually use? We’re building SmartView: an AI-powered platform that automatically detects roadside assets, mowing obstacles, vegetation structures and much more from vehicle-mounted cameras. Our ambition is simple: help municipalities and infrastructure managers make smarter, data-driven decisions. We have just completed our first pilot, consisting of 1 hour and 41 minutes of drive-by footage. Our Computer Vision specialist is currently processing this data into AI detections. Once that is finished, your work begins. Your mission is to transform these detections into a professional GIS environment inside our existing SmartView dashboard. Think interactive map layers, filtering, searching, clustering, pop-ups, asset information and a clean spatial data structure that can grow into a nationwide platform. This is not just another GIS project. You’ll help shape the foundation of software we intend to roll out internationally. What you’ll do * Integrate AI detections into our existing GIS dashboard. * Create clean, scalable GIS data structures. * Build intuitive map layers and filtering options. * Connect detections with GPS and metadata. * Optimize performance for large datasets. * Work closely with our AI and software team. We’re looking for someone with * Proven experience building GIS applications. * Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS or similar. * Experience with WebGIS (Mapbox, Leaflet, OpenLayers or similar). * Strong understanding of spatial databases. * Excellent English communication skills. Bonus points if you’ve worked on projects for municipalities, infrastructure, utilities or asset management.
