Game Artist for Demo Visuals

Hiring for a freelance game artist interested in a demo project of a game ongoing development. Need someone who is able to produce or has experience in 2D sprite-work and animation with a preference for additional skill in 3D modeling. The demo project is a slice of a single-player game designed from scratch with a minimalist perspective, focused on artistic direction and a deep puzzle interaction. Players will be able to traverse a seamless world of interconnected, unique rooms on an island stuck between reality and a miasma, where memories have been cracked at the seams. An ethereal force prevents contained in the ocean prevents escape, both as a natural barrier and as a mechanic of the game. With no memories of what happened, the player must uncover the mystery of who made the the labyrinthine structures on this island and why; and if possible find a means of escape. The demo entails introductory rooms which are a tentative beginning of the game to showcase main principles of play as well as what the game should look like as a whole. What's need in this offer is a small asset pack spanning character animation, a basic tile-set for environment with optional animations, and potentially 3D assets as well with basic texturing, none of which involve complex animations. Artist style and direction will be discussed as needed.
