AI-Generated Product Photography for Ceramics

Summary

AI Product Image Specialist for Small Handmade Ceramics Micro Batch Collections I’m looking for someone to create staged product images for a handmade ceramics and home goods brand using my existing product photos. This is not a physical photoshoot. I need someone who can use AI tools, Photoshop, masking, compositing, and good visual judgment to create believable lifestyle images for Etsy, my website, and social. The product itself has to stay accurate. Please don’t regenerate the ceramic object, smooth it out, “fix” the rim, change the glaze, or make it look like it went to finishing school. The handmade irregularity is part of the point. This starts with an initial batch of 15–20 pieces, with 3 finished images per piece. I’d like to begin with a paid test of 3 products / 9 finished images. If it works, I’d like to build an ongoing relationship with someone who can become a long-term visual partner for the brand. Brand Direction The brand is Reclaim. The work sits between handmade ceramics, restored objects, working interiors, old materials, and modern taste. I’m looking for good taste with a raised eyebrow: edited, tactile, useful, a little irreverent, and definitely not beige luxury catalog. Think less “styled kitchen,” more: * a downtown gallery owner’s working kitchen after a dinner party * an artist’s house where people actually cook * the back room of a great antique shop * a studio table with good objects on it * an old scullery, prep counter, or industrial sink * European utility, not European romance * beautiful things mixed with useful things * stylish, but not obedient Please avoid: * Restoration Hardware * Nancy Meyers dream kitchen * quiet luxury beige * farmhouse * boho * cute craft pottery * influencer kitchen * wedding registry styling * generic AI interiors * showroom perfection * anything too soft, romantic, precious, or try-hard The goal is modern, usable, believable images with personality — closer to a smart editorial still life than a lifestyle catalog. What I Need For the paid test: * 3 products * 3 finished images per product * 9 images total * one revision pass For the full initial batch: * 15–20 products * 3 finished images per product Products may include handmade platters, berry bowls, batter bowls, gratin dishes, serving bowls, vessels, and reclaimed or restored home objects. Technical Requirements The product should not look pasted onto a background. It needs believable scale, contact shadows, perspective, and lighting. Please preserve the: * shape * glaze color * rim * scale * proportions * texture * handmade irregularity AI should be used for the setting, styling, lighting support, and environment — not to invent a better version of the product. Helpful skills: * Photoshop * Adobe Firefly * Photoroom * Midjourney / Flux / other AI image tools * product masking and compositing * realistic shadows * color matching * ecommerce product images * home goods, ceramics, interiors, Etsy, Shopify, or lifestyle product imagery Budget I’m looking for solid, modern, commercially usable work. I do not need agency-level perfection or a 47-slide creative deck. Expected range: * $30–$40/hour * or $300–$350 for the paid test Let me know how you would approach this and if you can send me some examples of work that you think makes sense for what I've laid out. Also let me know if you preserve the original product through masking/compositing or regenerate it in AI. Look - at the end of the day I'm trying to look different than others - stand out in a very crowded field without being obnoxious. If you have experience with home goods, ceramics, interiors, or ecommerce or just other product work that you think speak to what I'm looking for - feel free to let me know. Don't feel like you need to send a ton - I'm just trying to get a feel. Do let me know your estimate for the 3-product test. One last and final plea - Do not make the work look expensive in the obvious way. Make it feel useful, intelligent, a little off-center, and worth owning.
