German (Germany) Speech Recording

Project Overview: We are conducting a speech data collection project for native German (Germany) German. This project requires you and your partner to connect remotely and engage in natural conversations based on assigned topics while recording the session. What You'll Do: 1.In your own quiet environment, use our designated recording method to have a free and natural conversation with your partner, and record the entire session. 2.You must be physically located in Germany during the recording session. Your IP address will be checked to confirm this. 3.Each pair is required to produce 1 effective hour of recorded dialogue (i.e., total pure conversation time for both participants). 4.The total recording session (including test recordings, breaks, topic changes, etc.) is expected to take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. 5.Before the official recording begins, a 2–3 minute test recording is required to check your equipment and ambient audio quality. The official session will start only after the test is approved. Requirements: 1.Native speaker status: Participants must be native German speakers (with a Germany‑based accent). Verifiable proof of identity is required (sensitive information may be redacted before submission). 2.Equipment & environment: Participants must have a device capable of recording (computer or smartphone) and conduct the recording in a quiet indoor environment free from background noise and echo. 3.Internet & coordination: Have a stable internet connection and be able to communicate smoothly with your partner and the project coordinator, and show up online on time to complete the recording. 4.Sign up yourself or refer a friend: You may register as a pair (you need to find a qualified conversation partner on your own), or you may refer a friend who meets the requirements. If your referral successfully completes the project, you will receive a separate referral bonus. Compensation: 1.Each participant who successfully completes the full recording and passes quality review will receive $180 USD. Payment will be arranged after the recording is approved. 2.Referral bonus: An additional referral fee will be paid for each successful referral who completes the project (specific amount will be communicated upon registration). Additional Notes: 1.All data collected will be used solely for technology development and will be kept strictly confidential. 2.Specific recording methods, topic outlines, and operation guidelines will be provided after registration is confirmed.
