Ghostwriter for Brain Based Self-Help Book

About the Project: I'm looking for an experienced nonfiction ghostwriter to help me complete a book that is already well underway. The book explores seven practical concepts in neurobiology and how understanding the brain can help people build healthier relationships, increase resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting change. The writing style is accessible, engaging, evidence-informed, and designed for a general audience rather than an academic one. I truly want the reader to feel like they're listening to one of my trainings and I'm speaking to them directly. This is not a project starting from scratch. The foreword has been completed and we have a draft of the first chapter with edits from my previous ghostwriter. Unfortunately, due to changes in her employment, she is no longer available to continue the project. I'm now looking for the right person to help me carry it across the finish line while maintaining the voice and direction we've already established. About Me I'm a licensed professional counselor, EMDR trainer, speaker, and entrepreneur. I teach clinicians around the country about trauma, resilience, relationships, and neurobiology. One thing that's important to know is that I'm much better at teaching than I am at sitting down to write. If you put me in front of an audience, I can explain these concepts for hours. I have extensive training recordings, presentations, outlines, slides, and educational material that form the backbone of this book. My ideal ghostwriter will enjoy taking spoken ideas and transforming them into compelling chapters while preserving my voice. Ideally the person I'm working with is available to meet Mondays and Fridays as those are the days I am most flexible. What I'm Looking For I'm less interested in finding "the best writer" and more interested in finding the right collaborative partner. This is my first book, and while I've learned a tremendous amount during the process, I've also learned how I work best. I'm neurodivergent, which means sometimes we may need to experiment with workflows or editing processes until we find what works best. Once we establish a system, I'm incredibly committed to seeing projects through. I'm looking for someone who is: -An experienced nonfiction ghostwriter (published books preferred) -Comfortable writing in psychology, neuroscience, mental health, or personal development -Able to organize complex concepts into engaging, reader-friendly chapters -Patient and collaborative -Kind, encouraging, and flexible -Highly organized -Persistent in helping maintain momentum -Comfortable with scheduling meetings in advance and thoughtful follow-ups -Skilled at interviewing subject matter experts and turning conversations into polished writing How We'll Work Together Rather than sending you rough drafts, I expect much of our collaboration will happen through: -Recorded trainings -Live presentation -Book outline/presetntation -Interviews/conversations -Existing manuscript -Research references and supporting material I'd love to establish a structured process where we schedule regular meetings in advance and create a clear roadmap to complete the manuscript. Having that structure is important to me because I balance multiple businesses, speaking engagements, and clinical work.
