I’m looking for a Google Ads specialist to help a bootstrapped B2B SaaS get its first paying customers through a small, focused Google Search Ads test. The product is Surfa, an AI-powered local SEO platform built for local SEO freelancers and small agencies managing Google Business Profiles. The current focus is on high-intent keywords around local rank tracking, GBP/GMB management, Google review management, and related local SEO workflows. This is not a VC-backed startup with a large ad budget. The goal is practical and focused: validate whether Google Search Ads can drive the first 1-10 paying customers. The Google Ads test budget will be around $1,000 in ad spend, separate from your freelancer fee. I'm not setting a fixed freelancer budget here because I want to hear from people with relevant experience and understand the best approach. Important context: Surfa currently offers a two-week free trial, then pricing starts at $29/month. That price is already intentionally discounted, so I am not looking to lower the price further. The goal is to drive qualified trial signups that have a real chance of converting into paying customers. What I need help with: I’m looking for someone who can: - Build a focused Google Search Ads campaign around high-intent local SEO / GBP keywords - Prioritize exact match and phrase match keywords rather than broad, wasteful traffic - Help refine the campaign structure around terms like local rank tracker, local SEO rank tracking, GMB review management, GBP management software, and related searches - Write ad copy that speaks directly to local SEO freelancers and agencies - Set up or review conversion tracking for trial signups and paid conversions - Add negative keywords and monitor search terms closely - Optimize the campaign during the first 2-3 weeks - Help determine whether Google Ads is a viable customer acquisition channel for this product Ideal experience: You are a strong fit if you have experience with: - B2B SaaS Google Ads - SEO software, marketing software, agency tools, or local SEO tools - Early-stage startups trying to get their first customers - Bootstrapped companies with limited budgets - Campaigns where the goal is paid users or qualified trials, not just traffic or leads Experience in the local SEO, Google Business Profile, rank tracking, review management, or agency software niche is preferred. What I am not looking for: I'm not looking for someone to simply set up generic campaigns and “let Google optimize.” I also do not want broad match campaigns that burn through budget without a clear plan. This test needs to be lean, specific, and high-intent. Please include in your proposal: - Examples of similar SaaS or B2B campaigns you have worked on - Any experience you have with local SEO, SEO tools, agency software, or rank tracking tools - How you would approach a $1,000 Google Ads test for a bootstrapped SaaS - What campaign structure would you recommend - How would you measure whether this test is successful - Your proposed fixed price or hourly rate for setup and initial management The main goal is simple: help Surfa acquire qualified trial users & optimize toward paid customer acquisition or determine quickly whether Google Ads is the right channel to continue testing.
