Summary

I’m looking for an experienced Google Ads specialist to help me run a small, carefully controlled trial campaign for my company, We The Billions. This is not a large ongoing advertising project yet. I want to test whether there is enough demand for a very specific service before increasing the budget. About the company We The Billions is a cognitive and speech-language therapy practice founded by an MS, CCC-SLP and former NASA science communicator. We work at the intersection of: * Cognitive rehabilitation * Executive function * Concussion / mild TBI recovery * Cognitive-communication * Athletic cognitive performance * Performance under mental fatigue and pressure For this campaign, the target audience is primarily sports medicine professionals, athletic trainers, sports physicians, coaches, performance staff, and organizations working with athletes. The landing page focuses on cognitive rehabilitation and cognitive performance for athletes, particularly around concussion recovery and cognitive performance. What I want to test: I want to test whether Google Search can generate qualified interest from people actively looking for: * Cognitive rehabilitation for athletes * Concussion cognitive rehabilitation * Sports concussion rehabilitation * Cognitive performance training for athletes * Executive function and athletic performance * Cognitive training for athletes * Return-to-play cognitive support * Cognitive rehabilitation after concussion * SLP cognitive rehabilitation for concussion * Related sports medicine / concussion referral searches I’m open to your recommendations regarding the exact keyword strategy. I do not want to force these keywords if your research suggests better search terms. Initial budget This is intentionally a small trial. I’d like to start with approximately $10–$20/day in ad spend, potentially for 2–4 weeks depending on search volume and your recommendation. The goal is not to spend a lot. The goal is to answer: “Is there enough search intent in this niche to justify scaling?” If the campaign produces qualified traffic and/or leads, I am open to increasing the budget and continuing the relationship. What I need you to do: I’d like you to: 1. Review the landing page I created before building the campaign. 2. Research the market and relevant Google search terms. (I will provide you research as well) 3. Identify high-intent keywords rather than simply generating a large keyword list. 4. Build a small, tightly targeted Google Search campaign. 5. Write the ad copy or use what I have. 6. Recommend appropriate negative keywords. 7. Set up conversion tracking correctly. 8. Make sure we can distinguish meaningful conversions from low-quality clicks. 9. Launch the campaign. 10. Monitor it during the trial and make reasonable optimization adjustments. 11. Provide a simple report every 4 days explaining: * What people searched for * Which keywords generated clicks * Which generated conversions * Cost per click * Cost per qualified lead * What you believe we should do next * Whether you recommend scaling, changing the offer, or stopping Very important: quality over volume I am not looking for someone who will simply maximize clicks. I would rather have 20 highly relevant visitors than 500 irrelevant ones. The audience is specialized, and I want to avoid wasting budget on generic searches such as: * General brain training * Generic concussion information * Free brain games * Consumer supplement searches * Generic sports training * Academic/research searches * People looking for diagnosis only * People looking for unrelated speech therapy Please explain how you would prevent irrelevant traffic. Campaign philosophy I want this to be a controlled experiment. Please do not recommend: * A large initial ad budget * Performance Max as the first campaign * Display advertising as the primary strategy * Broad targeting simply to generate volume * Buying traffic just for the sake of generating traffic I want to start with high-intent Search and learn from the data. Conversion goal The landing page will direct visitors toward a consultation/referral pathway. I would like the campaign structured so we can measure meaningful actions rather than just page views. Please tell me what you recommend tracking as primary vs. secondary conversions. Who I’m looking for I’d strongly prefer someone who has experience with advertising at least one of the following: * Healthcare advertising * Sports medicine * Concussion / TBI * Physical therapy * Rehabilitation * Medical practices * Performance training * Specialized professional services You don’t need experience in all of these. More importantly, I want someone who understands search intent and conversion economics. When applying, please answer these questions 1. What would your initial Google Ads strategy be for this niche? 2. What types of searches would you target? 3. What searches would you specifically avoid? 4. Would you start with Search, Performance Max, or something else—and why? 5. What would you consider a reasonable initial daily budget for a small test? 6. What conversion events would you track? 7. Have you worked with healthcare, sports medicine, concussion, rehabilitation, or another specialized professional service? 8. Please provide 1–2 examples of campaigns where you were responsible for strategy and optimization, not just campaign setup. 9. What would you expect to learn after a 2–4 week test? One important note I am looking for someone who is comfortable saying: “The data doesn’t support scaling this yet.” If the campaign doesn’t work, I want to know that. I’m not looking for someone who will continually ask me to increase the budget until something eventually converts. If the test works, however, there is potential for an ongoing relationship and a larger advertising budget. Please begin your proposal with “COGNITIVE PERFORMANCE” so I know you read the post. Thank you!
