We are a lean, fast-moving growth marketing agency running paid media, email, and creative for a portfolio of ecommerce and lead-gen clients. We're a small remote team that values clear communication, ownership, and people who do what they say they'll do. THE ROLE We're looking for an experienced Google Ads Specialist who can own the day-to-day management of paid search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns across several client accounts and run with them under light direction. You'll partner directly with our senior media strategist: they set overall strategy and you handle execution, monitoring, and account-level optimization, bringing your own recommendations rather than waiting to be told every move. This is a step up from a pure execution seat. We want someone who notices when an account drifts, diagnoses why, and proposes the fix, not just someone who implements tickets. If you're reliable, proactive, and know Google Ads deeply, there's clear room to grow hours, accounts, and scope. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns end to end: Search, Performance Max, Shopping, and Demand Gen - Own daily monitoring of your assigned accounts and flag/diagnose anomalies the same day: zero-traffic or paused campaigns, impression/spend swings, ROAS or CPL drops, disapprovals, budget pacing - Bring proactive optimization recommendations to the strategist (bidding, structure, negatives, audiences, creative/asset gaps, feed issues) - Manage product feeds and Shopping setup (Simprosys / Google Merchant Center), including custom labels - Produce weekly and biweekly performance reviews with insight, not just numbers - Keep all work updated in ClickUp and track your hours there - Communicate clearly and proactively in Slack and on our weekly call HOW YOU'LL WORK WITH US You'll report to our senior media strategist, who owns overall strategy and reviews your work, and collaborate with our Meta buyer and the wider team. We run async in Slack and ClickUp with one weekly team call. We trust specialists to manage their own queue and raise issues early. MUST-HAVES - 3+ years hands-on managing Google Ads accounts (in-platform, not just reporting) - Deep command of Search, PMax, and Shopping: structure, bidding strategies, and optimization levers - Demonstrated ability to run accounts independently and bring your own recommendations - Google Merchant Center / product feed experience - Strong, reliable follow-through: you hit deadlines, close out work, and never need chasing - Native or fluent English, written and spoken, with professional, responsive communication - Based in Latin America (e.g. Mexico, Argentina) or Western Europe for strong working-hours overlap with our North America-based team - Consistent weekly availability during our working hours NICE-TO-HAVES - GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking experience - Ecommerce (Shopify) and/or lead-gen account experience - Familiarity with Simprosys, ClickUp, and Slack HOW WE WORK & COMPENSATION - Rate: ~$15-20/hr USD, paid hourly through Upwork - Hours: ~10-15 hours/week to start, with room to scale hours and accounts - Tools: Time tracked in ClickUp (no screenshot monitoring); communication in Slack + ClickUp - Remote: Fully remote, mostly async, with one weekly team call 30-DAY TRIAL PERIOD We treat the first 30 days as a mutual fit period. Success looks like: - Managing assigned accounts accurately and on time, with ClickUp kept current - Monitoring daily and surfacing the issues that matter, same-day, with a recommended fix - Delivering performance reviews on schedule with real insight - Proposing at least one optimization or test per account on a rolling basis - Zero "where is this / did you see this" follow-ups needed from the team At day 30 we'll check in to confirm fit on both sides and discuss scope and hours.
