Google Merchant Center Specialist - (Misrepresentation Experience)
Worldwide
I run a small direct-to-consumer ecommerce brand on Shopify selling physical consumer products. A previous Merchant Center account was suspended under a misrepresentation review. I want to get set up cleanly and correctly this time, working with someone who understands exactly why these flags trigger and how to avoid them - I'm clearly missing something a specialist would spot immediately. Scope of work: Audit my live store, product pages, and trust/policy pages against current Merchant Center requirements Identify what most likely triggered the misrepresentation flag and what has to change before reapplying Handle account setup and verification correctly (business identity, domain claim/verification, required contact and policy pages) Build and QA a clean product feed with consistent data across the site, checkout, and feed Get products approved and the account into good standing, then hand it over documented so I can maintain it About you: Proven track record resolving GMC misrepresentation suspensions and getting accounts approved Deep working knowledge of Merchant Center policies - business identity, misrepresentation, feed data quality Comfortable auditing a live Shopify store and giving direct, specific fixes Clear communicator who explains the "why", not just the "what" Milestones & payment: This is a fixed-price job structured in two milestones: Audit & fix plan - funded upfront, released on delivery of a written audit identifying the likely misrepresentation trigger and the specific changes required. Approval & stability - funded upfront, released once the account and products are approved and have remained in good standing (approved, active, no new warnings or disapprovals) for three consecutive weeks. I fund both milestones into escrow at the start so you can see the work is committed. The second milestone is deliberately tied to sustained approval, not just initial sign-off - I'm paying for a result that holds, not a status that flips back a week later. If a review cycle takes time, that's expected; the three-week window starts once approval lands. To be fair to you on that clause: the three-week condition covers your work holding up. If I change product pages, policy pages, or feed data during that window and something re-flags as a result, that's on me, not you - it won't affect your milestone. This is about the setup you deliver staying stable, not about me introducing new problems after handover. Deliverables: a written audit of what needs fixing, setup and verification done correctly, products approved, and a short handover note. To apply, tell me briefly: what's the most common reason you see accounts get flagged for misrepresentation, and how do you fix it?
