Google Shopping Reviews Expert — Add Curated Product Reviews via a Manual/Supplemental Feed
Worldwide
We're a DTC e-commerce brand running Google Ads and Google Shopping. We need someone who genuinely understands how Google's Product Ratings program and product review data sources work — not someone learning on our account. Here's our exact situation: Reviews are currently sent to Google Shopping through Proviews (Simprosys), which we've been updating via Excel/CSV import each month. That import path has stopped working the way it used to, so new reviews aren't reaching Google. On our storefront/PDP, we use Loox — purely for on-site display. Loox is not connected to Google, and we do not want to use Loox's Google Shopping auto-sync, because it pushes all reviews automatically and gives us no control over selection. What we need A reliable, compliant way to manually add hand-selected, genuine customer reviews to our Google Shopping listings — reviews we collect directly from real customers — while keeping full control over which ones we submit (not an all-or-nothing automatic sync). Hard constraints (please read carefully): Do not remove, disrupt, or alter our existing Proviews/Simprosys review feed. It stays live. Do not touch or connect our Loox integration. It stays exactly as-is, storefront-only. All of our existing reviews on Google must remain intact — nothing gets wiped or replaced. The solution must be an additional, parallel method that coexists with the above. Everything must follow Google's current Product Ratings policies (authentic, directly-collected customer reviews only). Scope of work Recommend the correct current-policy method to add a curated set of our reviews to Google Shopping alongside our existing Proviews feed (e.g., an additional product reviews data source in Merchant Center via scheduled fetch, SFTP, or Google Cloud Storage — you tell us what's correct and why). Build/format a valid XML product reviews feed to Google's spec, with correct unique identifiers (GTIN / MPN / brand) matched to our existing Google product feed so reviews map to the right products. Set it up in Google Merchant Center as a separate review source without interfering with the existing one. Give us a simple, repeatable process so our team can add new customer reviews ourselves going forward (which reviews to include, where to drop them, how it updates). Confirm reviews are processing and star ratings remain live. You must be able to clearly explain How Google aggregates reviews across multiple review data sources for the same products. How to run a second/supplemental review source without conflicting with an existing aggregator feed. The current accepted submission methods (and which manual/upload options Google has deprecated). Identifier matching (GTIN/MPN) and why reviews fail to show when it's wrong. To apply Please don't send a generic proposal. In your first message, answer this: "We already have one product review data source feeding Google (via a third-party aggregator). We want to add a second source of hand-selected reviews without disturbing the first. What's the exact method you'd use under Google's current policies, and what are the main reasons reviews fail to appear after submission?" Also include one example of similar Google Shopping / Merchant Center review work you've done. Engagement: Start with a small paid test/setup task. Strong fit → ongoing monthly work to keep reviews updated.
